Clark super-speeded to the Castle when he got the frantic phone call from Lex. He arrived at the front door tousled and his brow creased with worry–looking all together edible or at least Lex thought so.

“Lex What’s wrong?”

“Clark I need your help It’s Hans-Dieter ”

“What did he do? Do you need me to kill him?”he asked hopefully.

Lex leveled a look of extreme patience at him and Clark winced. He hated the ‘dear boy, I won’t hurt you because I love you but could you be more stupid’look.

“Clark. Hans -Dieter could never be replaced. Let’s not speak of killing him again. Maiming, though, there’s a thought,” he mused. “No, no time for that. I need you to stop him. He’s going to speak at Career Day at the high school.”

Clark failed to see the importance, but he was pretty sure Lex would let him know... at length. He smiled lovingly at Lex and waited.

“He’s going to speak. Talk about what he does here.”

Clark’s eyes narrowed dangerously and was that a little glint of red-- Lex was quick to exclaim, "Not that! That doesn’t happen any more! No–I’m worried about what he might say about what goes on here. What he makes for me--”

“What that peanut butter and banana thing? So what–oh.”

“Yes oh. Dieter has no tact.”Lex winced as he remembered other examples of Hans-Dieter’s appalling lack of tact...and his serious need for anger management. Through a heroic show of self control he kept a nostalgic smile off his lips and a hand off his ass.

Clark paled as he remembered how hard it was to wash peanut butter and squashed bananas out of pubic hair–“Gosh! Right! I’m on it--” He was speeding towards the school as he spoke.

Lex rocked a bit in the wake of Clark’s exit and wondered if he offered Henri a watch, he could keep him from speaking at Career Day too...
