I really enjoyed this. I loved the happy ending. I liked so much because it reminded me of one of my favorite eps of the Twilight zone. In it, a man is sentenced to an isolated planet and after a while he is sent a robot companion. They live happily for many years until he is pardoned and is forced to leave her behind. I loved that episode because it was so touching. I loved this fic so much because it was like the episode but with a Kal.Lex twist which made it even better. you did a wonderful job as usual and I have toa dmit that when I realized it was Kal at the door and not Clark, my eyes welled up- very true. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
