Hee! I actually take it as something of a badge of honor. Sort of like when James Marsters said that there's this natural inbuilt feeling that people who are that pretty can't be smart — but Tom is. I figure it works the same way. There has to be something wrong with our Thomas. If he's that pretty, he can't possibly be nice. Or smart. And if he is that nice and smart and pretty, then... why isn't he the hero of the story?

Gotta have flaws so that there's conflict. Otherwise it's just Jensen and Tom playing golf and being nice to each other. Which might be reality, but it makes for crappy fic.

If I were to ever write J2, I'd envision Tom's place as off to the side, being quietly amused at the shenanigans and making dry-as-dust asides to the audience. Sort of like a Greek-god chorus. :-)

The blue eyes, though, that's just annoying.
