I do have to say, i don't think women haven't been under attack like this since the early 20th century.
It is frankly terrifying. I live in urban Canada right now, where access to birth control is inexpensive and available, and where women's reproductive rights are not being systematically extinguished (yet - we shall see, pending the outcome of the upcoming election - it was recently leaked by a dumbass Conservative MP candidate in Saskatchewan that the Conservatives planned to defund International Planned Parenthood if given a majority - thank you, loud-mouth dumbass for letting the cat out of the bag - Stephen Harper likes to make damn sure that The Plan isn't discussed at all because he knows it would likely result in the Conservatives losing seats), and the contrast between Canadian policy and U.S. policy is staggering. I feel... I feel like if I moved back home, I would literally be under attack. And I really don't understand how this is happening. I don't.
