So when the President of the United States released his birth certificate, I may have blacked out for a few seconds--minutes. America, America, God shed something on you, 'cause you sure need it.

My favorite part of this whole 'Birther' (REALLY, AMERICA? REALLY?) mess is when Trump proclaimed that he would personally verify its veracity. Thanks for having our back, Donald.

My favorite responses came from @JohnFugelsang and @JamesUrbaniak. The first tweeted: Birthers aren't racist; they just demaded the brown guy w/funny name show a birth cert & never asked it of a white guy. as well as: We demand to know if the President got good grades, say people who voted twice for Bush. and Donald Trump is the first man in history to try and take credit for someone else proving he's a liar.

Dude, I couldn't write it better. It's like this country must have some sort of retarded, pointless, always insulting type of drama, just going on 24/7 or it will wither up and die. We're pretty much the nation of junior high popular girls. "Oh, well, I heard that he's not even from this country!" "No way!" "Yes, way! It's totally true! The Donald said so!"

Meanwhile, Urbaniak & co. started coming up with alternative slogans for the *gag* "Birthers," now that their particular cause has gone up in smoke. Some were:

via @MarcFaletti: Obama isn't a citizen, he's a buttery hard candy. #werther
via @Weezbag: Obama avoids couples quarreling on the street #wideberther
via @JamesUrbaniak himself: Obama actually born in Australia. #Perther
via @jumptheSnark: Obama 2012 to use "I Just Want To Celebrate" as campaign song. #RareEarther
via Urbaniak again: White House secretly manipulated AMPAS Best Actor vote. #Firther
And then the last two are both from @jumptheSnark again: BREAKING: Obama likes to dress up in a fat suit and William Howard Taft's old clothes, and walk around White House. #girther
and: Obama secretly a hilarious comedian! #mirther

So, you see, the ridicule and disgust are out there, just, sad as it fucking is, not on the newscasts, which serves as a good example for why I cannot stand to watch televised news anymore. I want to punch every talking head right in the mouth, repeatedly, especially after some wave of horse shit like this "Birther" crap.

But, instead, I just laugh, cos otherwise I'd be a.) weeping, and/or b.) packing my shit and trying to find someplace else to move where there aren't crazy racist retards who run everything. . . wait-- wait: I'm being told those people are everywhere. Well, shit. :/

Yeah, I'm not sure if it'd make a difference if more time was given to the folks who realize this is all ridiculous. Some folks are determined to prove that race makes a difference and that one is smarter, better, and more human than the other. As for this new demand--this country never liked Clinton for being smart, and elected Bush twice so, yeah, the fucking idiots run the asylum.

Donald Trump is a stupid stupid man. he's wasting time and money with his stupid ideas. he's just blowing hot air up his own asshole to make himself look more important and gain more followers because i'm guessing his business ventures are not doing so well.

I will thank him though, because he's making the GOP look like a bunch of losers and idiots

Jesus, yes. When he gets his second term, i'm going to be very, very nervous. It's revolting how some citizens simply *cannot stand* that an intelligent black man is President.

i just don't even know anymore, roxy. it's appalling, the number of republicans and independents who said, in that recent poll, that they doubt obama is really an amurrican. i mean, i grew up in the '50s, right? i remember LBJ and the Great Society and the end of segregation and so on, and i believed in progress and the advance of enlightened thought. and now here we are, in 2011, with racism and xenophobia and homophobia and all that crap just breaking out all over. it hurts my heart, and it scares me -- how far will the american taliban get before we swing back toward progress?

Oh, I have all your comments on DIWWCF saved in my Yahoo e-mail and I keep telling myself I need to answer them, because they are all so thoughtful and it's been so fun watching someone read the series for the first time all these months later. But I haven't. Because I'm lame. I will, though! But in the meantime I just wanted to say thank you :)

thank you so much for replying here! i stopped commenting there, though i've read and reread the finn/will chapters with vast pleasure, because i began to feel like a pest. *g* i'll go make a public comment on the last section to summarize my adulation. don't worry about getting back to me at AO3, btw. i know how real life can actually get busy for people. :D

Your icon! I just watched that terrible, ridiculous movie. I've been doing a series of 'I Watch So You Don't Have To' film reviews of various cast members, and of course Cory has more than the rest put together.

My RL has been intruding mercilessly on my fandom time lately and it's super annoying. But yeah, I really feel awful if I don't reply to comments, because I appreciate them so much and if people are going to take the time, I need to answer them.

yes, i watched that one and the one where he gets wolf's eyes. the best i could do for Bloody Mary was watch a horrifying clip at youtube (with my hands over my eyes), but oooh, the animated gif of him painting with no clothes on... i should be ashamed. maybe later, but not right now. ha!

is it ok if i friend you here at LJ? i post very little but like to read and comment. :)

Just... yeah. Seconding what everyone else has said. When the bias is so fucking blatant, I don't know how they sleep at night. How the hell do they justify this in their head? What sort of logic do they operate on?

Of course! It's totally fine.

I already reviewed Hybrid, but I haven't done Killer Bash yet or Bloody Mary yet, though I have seen it, so I can tell you that if you saw the gif, you saw the only part of the movie worth watching. It doesn't even make any sense! (Not that Hybrid did.)

And still, all of Cory's films are more watchable than Mark Salling's terrible "The Graveyard".

THIS. I live in Tennessee, heaven help me, and this good old boy at the liquor store the other day was going on about how he'll vote for Trump if he runs, and I thought to myself, "Please do, sir. That's one less ignoramus vote to count."

Not that it matters, because it's Tennessee, but it's the principle.
