Can I just whine here for a moment? I've been working nonstop on it but I don't know what I'm *doing*!! I've got a snippet here and a snippet there, but not really anything that hangs together, y'know? But! If I rename it Various Random Sex Scenes Featuring Clark and Lex, it might work. Or maybe Three Quarters of a Real Story and Then Some Porn. In that mess somewhere is a pretty hot blowjob, and you know that I rarely think any sex I write is hot. Clark is really stepping up in this fic, he's got a real presence. Lex, not so much. I think it's easier with Clark because he's so different in this story, and it's been a looooong time since I wrote little boy Clark. Lex is harder because his life hasn't changed as much as Clark's so I'm struggling to find him. It used to be so easy...*makes sad face*

The sun was beginning to set, the acrid odor of diesel wafted through the air, alerting both the young men that at long last, the bus had come. The flashing sign over the big square windshield flipped from "Metropolis" to read "Clue". The doors sighed open and they climbed aboard. Lex sat in the first open seat and Clark sat next to him. He looked over the wicker basket Lex held on his lap. His knuckles were white with the strength of his grip. "Lex," Clark said," You..."

Lex pried a finger off the basket's handle and pressed it against his lip. "Shhh..."

The bus rolled on, strangely quiet considering the press of strangers all around them. Clark glanced at Lex, again and again, but Lex stared out the window, eyes narrowed against the glare of the sun.

An unfamiliar smell made Clark's nose wrinkle. "Say, do you smell that?"

Lex smirked. "Yeah, that means we're here. Surprise."

"Where?" Clark asked, confused and at this point, getting a little annoyed.

The bus stopped at the edge of a long, wide expanse of sand. The doors popped open and the driver said, "Everyone get out."

The hot air felt good, Clark thought--relaxing. Sunlight reflected from the white grains, strong enough to blind Clark for a moment. The smell of salt and rot, of damp sand and cocoa butter made his stomach roll. He stopped to let his senses settle but Lex pulled him along, heading for an unoccupied stretch of sand. He smiled. "You'll like this, I packed a lunch. Sandwiches and pie," he said and shook the basket at Clark.

Yes, that's right; they all went to the seashore.
