Fandom shift time again. I see folks are slowly strolling away to the Brand New Thing. Sadly, once again, I'm not very much into the new thing, new thing being the Avengers. The only pairing I'm interested in there is Phil/Steve, and I don't even like Steve. *sigh* Oh well, say lavee. Kay Sarah Sarah.

Also, Dear SpN fandom, more Sam and Dean, a wee smidge less J2, more thinky future fic and a tad less BDSM porn. In conclusion, all you damn kids, get the hell off my lawn.*throws cats*

Welp, if it makes you feel any better, I'm a lurker in every fandom but about four, so no fear for me jumping ship! I'm also stuck in the Four Brothers fandom for life because it really clicks with me, and in that fandom (if one can even use that word for how small the number of "members" is and the generally awful standard of the writing produced), it's all Mary Sue sister fics! I kid you not! I feel obligated to write, if only to show there's more FB stories out there to be written! Not every one has to have Jack and a tough girl with a ridiculous name oh-so-slowly getting it on. *sigh*

Ahem.

(So, final time, and then I'll drop it forever: Steve/Tony is awesome if you'd just give it a chance, I swear! It really is the Avengers equivalent of Clex (or maybe Clark/Bruce would be more apt). Is it that you don't like Cap or just dislike Evans-as-Cap? Because if it's a case of the latter, there's always the Substitution Method of reading that character in fic. That's what I do with several characters in various fandoms--just plug in my happy version of them, and pretend that's the one the author was writing. Also, as a personal confession, of the four pre-Avengers films (Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America), Cap's film is IMHO the best in terms of story, characterization, and style. It's my favorite of the four, anyway, if my opinion counts. *shrugs* Okay: wheedling ended!)

I hear you on the J2 thing too. If I stumble upon a plot that sounds interesting enough, I'll click and try it, but I don't ever go looking for J2 fics. SpN proper though--that, I seek out like the determined weirdo I am!

I remember when everyone was bailing from SV to SPN and that Stargate show. It gets lonely. Right now, Glee fans are heading for every exit in sight (including me). Fandoms just won't stand still at all.

Me, I ship Destiel, and I don't even watch the show! They look great in gif sets at Tumblr. ;)

I'm reading Steve/Tony like a crazy person, but I feel no need at all to write a story. The pairing doesn't lend itself to hooker!fic or Slave!fic, and that seems to be my first toe-dip into writing any new fandom, whether I post it or not. :)

Instead, I'm writing fic for a movie that came out two years ago. There may be something wrong with me. The Losers are eating my brain. 41,000 words so far in the last 6 weeks or so of writing. I'm definitely not complaining.

Yeah, I know. It's frustrating to see so many people navigate to Avengers fandom when I haven't seen the movie and am in no rush to do so. I want the SPN/J2 people to stay here, with me, and give me more fic to read! Am I asking too much?

See, here's the thing--I've never really liked Cap--70s-80s comic reader and Cap never appealed to me, especially when they tried to make him relevant. Also, Chris Evens doesn't appeal to me, he looks like a watered down JA to me and his style of acting is a little too blah--strictly inmyopinion. I liked Iron Man well enough, and Tony Stark too, but not enough to care what happens when he's not on screen so to speak. Plus, I only liked Iron Man when he wore the gold, bullet head suit--and that was LONG ago!, lol! I only read the Avengers to spin self-inset fantasies starring The Vison--and that also was LONG ago! *GG*

LOL! I love that you ship them without being a show fan--ut I was two years a Clexer myself before really watching SV. It is terribly lonely when folks all wander off. My flist is really quiet these days, what with the heading off hither adn yon to Sherlock or Marvel...a wee!roxy would never have imagined being annoyed by Marvel. *tsktsk*

I must say i'm adoring the Avengers fic. Fandom Steve/Tony is awesome, Clint/Coulson, Natasha/Pepper, Thor/Jane. And Clint/Darcy *from the movie* and sometimes Bruce/Tony, and and and.....

Goodfic of almost any stripe sucks me in. I won't be writing - hell, i'm barely writing *anything* right now, it's so fucking annoying. But still - fic! Everywhere!!
