I'm fighting with Mr. Roxy. Lord. Cleaning out the attic to make crawling space, and he wants to save boxes of old drawings and sketchbooks and all this crap from my childhood and I just want to toss it. Nobody needs it and it's just taking up space. I remember it all and none of it is very good, and it's outlived it's "haha, look what mom used to do" and now it's just junk. Lord, what the hell is it with men and wanting to save every little piece of shit?
Fun part of the post: just for laughs.

I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. Revelation 1:18
*shrug. grin*
and, why did Dean have a bruise on his temple before he got whacked in the temple? Did I miss a time line jump in the ep? I've only watched it once, so far.
explained, thanks,
kira29!

12/9/12 12:46 am (UTC)and, why did Dean have a bruise on his temple before he got whacked in the temple?
I. . . did not notice that, but, then again, I was kinda, uh, writing a sample book review for the class the next day, so I was a teensy bit distracted while watching. *guilty gulp*
Hey, how *you* doin'? :)

12/9/12 03:32 am (UTC)Having dealt with my mother-in-law's "collections" for the past 2 months (and probably will be working on them for the next year), I say pick a few prime items and keep them stored well instead of tons of everything all crammed up together in an attic. Take a manageable amount, label it well and make it something worth having.

12/9/12 04:44 am (UTC)Right? He can't get that it's just stockpiling junk the kid will have to deal with someday. Why stick the children with that? If I had my choice, I'd dump it all. In the last few years, I've come to understand how pointless it is to keep every little thing because "it's memory." Mostly, it's a fire hazard.
Hello, Pretty Jensen. At least you make me smile.

12/9/12 05:05 pm (UTC)And yes - it'll end up being an issue for someone *else* to deal with. My mom is getting rid of stuff left and right, giving us things, dumping the stuff nobody wants. It's just *stuff*. She's got boxes with old china and things they got as wedding gifts - gone! She doesn't use it, nobody wants it - it's baggage.
I have *no idea* what you're talking about, bruise, what?
*flails about*

12/9/12 05:33 pm (UTC)I did tell him that since it was my stuff, I had the last word in whether it stays or goes. *sigh* Sometimes I wonder if our nomadic military upbringing scarred him in some way. I've never seen anyone so reluctant to toss shit in all my life. I mean Girl!! Newspaper clippings from freshman year high school this man's got, oy!!

If you can stand it, find a *small* box or portfolio. Pick out a dozen examples of your young!Roxy!life, from various years. To placate the Mr. And then out with the rest. That's a decent compromise if you have to have one.
Oh! Right. The 'fight training'.
