Fannish New Year's Resolutions

1.Read more. That sounds weird, seeing as how I'm almost always reading, but I'd like to read outside my comfort zone. I tend to go with the tried and true and this year, I've read many less new authors than I usually do. Though the few times I did step outside my little box, I've been absolutely thrilled I did. So, more being bold this year.

2.Also, this year, once I've found the new writers and friended them, be more active with them. The latter part of this year I was a bad reader and commenter. I want to fix that.


3.Again, participate in some way in fandom. More challenges, maybe actually do that reccing thing that locknkey has asked me about…several times.

4.Write more. I enjoy it, whether folks read or not. I confess, I let a lack of commenting affect me more than I should. Hey, I'm only human and my ego's as big as the next guy's. (assuming that guy's Donald Trump or something.) So, write more, worry less about what I'm writing and how I'm writing it. Not saying I won't try to get better, just saying I won't worry so much about how my writing's received.

5.Pay more attention to my friends. I drift, but I never stop caring.

There you go. And I'd like to thank folks for their Christmas cards—it was great fun to get the mail and find lovely cards for me and the Fam!

For those of you who think you've dodged the bullet by not getting a card from me…nu-unh. They're coming. So what they're late—pft! Who cares! The season stretches on and on! :)
