Glasses, you guys. Glasses on both of them. It was like...getting chocolates and coffee. Chocolate flavored coffee with raspberries and whipped cream. And then Sam with his serving and knowing how to do it and sending me off imagining pre-pilot part time jobs poor Sammy had to take to eat( notwithstanding those reams of hookerfic) and the *joy*! The pure joy of it all! Even the bad moments were good moments for me!

So, are we all supposed to take that Purgatory was reboot camp for Dean? Because I can totally see it that way.

I can't believe how much folks loved this ep! It's wild--8th season and folks are on *fire*!

Reboot camp--it just seems like Dean's more centered than he's been in a while. More on track and focused. He's not drinking like before, he seems less worn even though he spent a hellacious year, he's nothing like he was coming back from hell. They've taken Dean's character and rewound him, or at least that's what it feels like to me. I'm thrilled about that.

Yeah, those folks were rich as hell and they only had two farm hands plus a foreman???

I know!! It's awesome.

You're right - I think Dean probably had DTs in Purgatory and that's all gone now, and he still drinks a bit from habit but he's not relying on it anymore, it's not his crutch anymore.

He seems *jaunty* - happy - he's relaxed...it's like, he has a new purpose, he has a new direction and a clear vision and i think he's feeling, despite Amelia and Benny and such, that Sam is finally *okay*, and he and Sam are finally okay and things can just *be* now.

I mean, he's still damaged, and still guilty, and still self-loathing to a degree but yes - you're right. He's got a better inner equilibrium now, and i love it.

Crazy rich folks - do everything the hard way! Heh.
