I think the lack of active comms is the main reason the mass exodus has never really happened.

I'd go there in a minute and stay, but I'm used to having all the SpNs I want, when I want. Things do feel to be slowing down here, though.

In some ways, yes. But we've also had people coming back recently who've been gone a long time. It's kind of a mix right now.

I'm not seeing that so much, but then, I'm not over there enough to tell. I just can't seem to get up the energy to really make an effort without big return. :)

I just found this: SPN Batcave a few minutes ago (I got curious and went a'looking). It's brand new, but maybe it'll be active. So far I have found a lot--like 95% of all the comms--icon communities, but only one for general discussion (here: Supernatural ) and a couple of uber-specific fic comms (a Meg fic exchange and an x-over fic exchange thingy).

I'd go to DW fulltime if folks/comms over there had more of a pulse, if you will. Of course that's part of the problem: People want it to be hopping, but since it isn't, they stick with LJ which continues to keep DW pretty quiet. It's not going to come to life if more people don't get active and jump ship. It's ah... cyclical, I think. :(

It's true, we have to go there to have something, but I also think you have to go there as a big wheel and drag folks with you before anything gets popping, as it were. And I'm thinking the wheels are going elsewhere. :)

I noticed myself that most of the active fandom comms seemed to be icon communities. I wonder why...ah well! I guess I'm just here until the wheels wobble off.
