Does anyone else have this thing where they scroll through their flist to see what's up but when they scroll through again, posts that weren't there before show up? Or is it just unobservant me?

So, we're well and truly into the swing of BB season. Me and my very dear, dear friend Askellington (what a peach that gal is) have read a few. Sadly, I can't devote as much time as I want to because we have to replace a bit of the kitchen floor. In younger days, I would have laughed it off with a hey-nonny-hey but now, with my rice-krispie joints, I'm so not looking forward to kneeling for a couple of hours.

We're doing a bit of house and yard spiffing up because BG decided that what we needed was a huge fish-fry to celebrate the summer. Sort of a family reunion, come get stuffed on our dime kind of thing. So, ya'll come on over. Bring a dish. :)

Those of you who've managed to read the BBs so far, what have you liked? Any recs?

I love getting comments on my older stuff, no matter what it is, fic or art. I see what you mean, though. What's really disappointing is when you read an older fic, find out it's a WIP, and that the author doesn't plan to finish because they aren't in the fandom anymore. That's why I really don't like starting fics anymore unless I know they've been finished. I don't post my fics until they're finished, since I made the mistake of sharing too soon on a couple of them, and one is still languishing. (Anyone want me to finish the one about teen!Sam losing his virginity?) I've got a SPN mpreg in the works, but the only people who've read any of it are me, my writing partner, and a couple betas.

I have a few WIPs that I fully intend to finish--some day. In the mean time, they sit there making me feel guilty and sorry for the people who started to read them and me leaving them high and dry. I love the stories, but sometimes i get stuck, or other things crop up and crowd out everything else in my brain. (and you should tots finish any teen!Sam story, gosh! :D )

What's sad is that my teen!Sam fic is close to being finished, but the muse just isn't there. Just another chapter or two is all it needs. Since I never have nor never will be a horny teenaged boy, it's hard getting into that mindspace.
