"So…Dean."

"Yeah, Dean. Big heart, little brain. Selfish."

"Because he died for you? Left you?"

"No. Yes."

"But you…."

"That's different. I did it for the world—Dean just did it for me. He wasted his life and left me alone because—I don't know why." Sam sighed. "I made sure he was okay first. That he wasn't alone." Sam pulled a loose string out of his pants cuff. He sighed again, watched the ceiling fan go round and round…wondered why the curtains were drawn.

"Sam? Do you want to continue tomorrow?"

I *want* to go home. "I guess."

Because you've never written anything before where Clark and Lex have a deep committed, ultimately monogamous, soulmate-esque relationship. Besides, if you really need Clark to fuck Whit first, may I remind you Eros is a Greek god. If you're trying to claim he never slept with anyone but his wife, even before their marriage, well then I am calling shenanigans on you.

I think Sam feels guilty for a lot of stuff he doesn't have to, and it comes out angry. I don't think he'd feel that way if Dean was just a little more forthcoming, more frequently? Like, Dean says a thing once and figures, "ell that's that, all settled"--but I think Sam is the "I want to talk about it from several different angles." kind of guy.

Which of course is implied in this drabble. *koff-laugh*

Hee! I definitely got where you are coming from here. Sam does need to talk things out and Dean avoids it like the plague. I so wanted to hear his conversation with the younger Dr. Ellicot in Asylum. I'm sure it would have been illuminating.
