How do I pick a story to read at AO3? I go by the amount of tags, the chattiness of the tags, and how many characters are listed. The more there are of all of these, the less inclined I am to take a chance. And of course, the ever popular warning, "This is crap", is a sure-fire way to tell if a story is crap. And if the writer apologizes in advance, another sure sign it sucks. I mean, heck, I'm willing to take the writer's word. Who knows better than they do if it's worth reading or not?

A few days ago I asked for good wishes--I think things are moving in a positive way. I'll keep you guys posted and thanks!

THANK YOU!!

Cryin' out loud, if you truly suck, someone out there will help you! What they mean is, "I'm too lazy to think about my story and come up with a reason you should read it." I know this to be true because, *koff* well. We'll just leave that alone... ;)

Pete's Squeaks??? I LOVE that!! :D

Heh, heh. Pete's Squeaks is a favorite expression of the lead character in Black And Blue Magic, a very interesting children's book I read many moons ago and it still sticks with me. Good writing, that. Had a good summary, too. ;)
