It's morning, I have to go to work and I have a pounding headache...erf.

So , I watched the Farscape mini series and was very pleased on the whole. I'll need to watch it again as I missed parts here and there, (if I ever am able to watch an entire episode of something without interruption , it'll be a miracle)so for those folks who are Farscape fans, this is what happens...nah! Find out on your own!

Also, they advertised the premiere of Battle Star Galactica, and I look forward to that, the mini-series was far better than I expected it to be, and I'm starved for SF so I'll add that to my schedule.
I'm sure I'll fall in love with it, and then they'll break my heart by canceling it.*eyes FX and WB with murderous glare...Lucky, *sob* we hardly knew ye...*

For those of you,(probably few, it's a very evil and nasty show) that watch Rescue Me, do you get the feeling they're trying to tailor it to Slashers? It's such a bad, bad show. But so good! I watch it and wince and grin-- I love Dennis Leary, he's just so...disgusting, but lovable. Or is that just me?*G*
So, feeling a little better now, off to work soon. I might post some of the story before I go...

*Sigh* My Russian Bizarro World (trade mark [livejournal.com profile] rachelmap) story has thrown a shoe, stalled on the tracks, come to a screeching halt . Why? Because I don't know how the players can get from the country to the city.Yes, I have this strange selective anal-retentiveness.I'm open to suggestions? (begs like a bitch-- help meeeee!)
Love you!

How far is it that they need to travel?

I know nothing about history, or Russia, and I'm not sure when your story is set, but I'll try and help.

If the steam engine has been invented then they could travel by locomotive, otherwise it would have to be horse-drawn carriage or horseback.

At the time of Rasputin? of course it had been invented. Remember Anna Karenina? I think a troika would be more Russian, and more romantic though.

Remember Anna Karenina?

Of course *slaps self in head*. I re-read that not long ago as well.

Ignore me, I'm tired.

What I know so far is that the Romanov's did have cars, but I 'm assuming at this time roads would have been in awful condition in the country. I think my problem is I haven't located my place on a map, it's just a nebulous place in the country. I have to stop being lazy, hunh? Grrr.
See what I mean by selective anal-retentiveness?

See, you know more than I do already.

If you put in the fic that they roller skated to the city I'd probably buy it. (well, maybe not quite, but you get what I'm saying, right?)

*smooch*

The gay daughter!!
All good.

I missed some eps, though - hope they show it again or get it out to rent soon.

It cracks me up he's so happy about her being gay, as though that's going to save him from the terrible angsty teenage relationship problems...though the preganacy worry isn't an issue, is it? Hmmm.

Hee.
I have to admit, fear of teen-age pregnancy is an ugly little devil in my head. I wouldn't mind if Monstrous were gay, just to avoid that...

I much preferred his happiness, regardless of the reasons for it, to Janet's attitude, which seemed pretty bigoted to me. ::sticks out tongue at Janet:: (I'm not telling what I'd do with my tongue and Tommy, except to say that he wouldn't get treated quite as well as Mike would. *g*)

*giggle* I'm afraid for Tommy!

Oh yeah, he did have a better reaction for whatever reason, it made his kid feel loved and you can't help but love him for that.

I watvhed the farscape thingy as well. I have never seen it so i don't know if it really wrapped matters up but it seemed to. I miss Stargate, it always goes to fast and Atlantis too but not as much. I think I watch too much TV but then I have to suspend my disbelief for a few hours to deal with the longness(is that a word?) of my day. It amazes me still two years later how whiny adults can be. Anyway, I like Rescue Me, Dennis Leary is great he has a true death wish and communicates it well to the universe. Its great to see a show where the gay daughter is less important than the utility bill.

Yeah, I like that, a true death wish-- he manages to set himself up to fall in evey episode. There's this anger and desperation that he projects so well.It draws me right in.

Plus he has great hair! *G*
