Guess what we had for Thanksgiving?

A power outage!!!!

We ended up going across town to Mr. R's cousin's house. We were supposed to be hosting them so it worked out okay--not like we were crashing their T-day. :)

We're back home now, power obviously on. Thanks so much, everyone, for your Thanksgiving Day wishes! I hope it wasn't as adventurous as ours! :D

The best-laid plans, yadda yadda. One year my oven conked out just before T-day, so we ended up at the diner having turkey platters. Wasn't bad, really!

Well, that would lead to an eventful Thanksgiving. Glad it all worked out.

Mine was pretty good. Back in June, my two brothers (and the one brothers 3 boys) moved a street down from us. So they hosted Thanksgiving this year. All I had to do was show up. :D And everything was sooooo yummy!!

It was surprisingly not crazy but I had my normal shift which meant coming in *after* the crazies left! ;D

I manned (or womanned) the phones today and no one was rude or ridiculous and I only had to use the stern voice once!
