Dec. 7 - What's your favorite memory of you and Mr. R?

My favorite memory? Wow, that's a hard one. It's been a long time and a lot of stuff happens…*g*
There is this memory that explains all about us, I think.

Many years ago, we were remodeling the kitchen and it was *hot*, hot as hell. We were laying out linoleum, one huuuuuge roll of it, and sweating, omg—so we stripped down to our undies, and pushed the roll out on our hands and knees. At one point we stopped, looked at each other and just bust out laughing like loons. It should have been miserable, everyone predicted that we'd be at each others throats because that was the norm for remodels. And, yeah, we kept having problems with the damn remodel, it was hot and humid and we had no AC and it was *hot* but...it was still fun in a twisted way. That's us. Definitely not the norm.

Or maybe just a bit twisted. *G*

Gah, just the thought of doing that kind of work in that heat...good thing you were doing it with someone you could sweat in your undies with! :)

Heeeee!
Sometimes stuff like that makes you all snarly and unhappy, and sometimes you just see the *stupid* of it all and roll with it. I think the most successful relationships learn to laugh instead of snarl.

Liked the memory story Sounds like fun times!. Its always good to laugh about remodeling!Took me back to my first place the circus wagon , not a real one just a converted fast food restaurant painted like one! The fuzzy wallpaper was the scariest thing worse than the orange shag carpoeting! I remember picking out carpeting , new wallcovering for the walls the non fuzzy kind and cabinets paint for the kitchen and to cover the bright rainbow colors of the circus wagon.I even had a pet mouse ! The ac was great the heat nonexistent!

Wow, that sounds like a story waiting to be told! Gosh, orange shag carpeting...I bet if you said that to a kid they'd just be 'WTF?' :D
