December 17th- Where is the most interesting place you've ever been?
This isn't exciting, but Salzburg is the most interesting place I've ever been. Because it was my mom's home town and it was interesting to see the place she grew up in, to see places that she told us about.
day221b asked:
Dec 18: What first drew you to Smallville, and what was the turning point to make you want to write in the fandom? :D
What drew me to SV? Well, I was reading BtVS mainly, and reading in other fandoms sporadically—BoonDockSaints, SportsNight, Faculty—and came across some amazing dub-con, angsty RedK Smallville stories, searched out other stories and found a place in the Fandom of Pain. I loved it so much I had to try to write some too, and my first few stories were very short and absolute shit, and then I wrote a longer story, also shit. And then, I threw off the traces and wrote whatever I damn well felt like writing about Clark and Lex and it got better. :D
Those boys—they were fun to write and SV peeps were *wonderfully* patient and kind. Best fandom ever to newbies, thank you so much, guys! ♥

12/20/13 02:00 am (UTC)Mmmmm Smallville. I loved the early seasons but it lost me before Jensen arrived, sadly.

1/2/14 04:42 pm (UTC)I think being a former military dependent makes it not so mysterious, plus spending most summers with my Oma also makes it seem like not exciting because Oma, bless her heart was not exactly a cookie-baking, tell me about your day grandma. So I forget that it's actually a wonderful place and somewhere I wish I could afford to go again--and also conquer my fear of flying and crowds and people and streets and crowds and flying and...*koff*
Smallville was a troublesome show, no matter how much I love Clark and Lex, it was often hard to watch. And Jensen probably wakes up in a cold sweat remembering his role on that show. Oy.

1/2/14 04:45 pm (UTC)SV fandom made me think everyone was as welcoming and loving. SpN fandom...eh, not so much. I learned early on that there was crazy aplenty but the folks who've friended me in these later years have been really great people.

1/2/14 04:49 pm (UTC)Thank you for liking those stories! They were some of my best because I had no idea what I was doing so I did anything, lol! Now, I worry too much. :)
