Bloody Mary--omgosh, their baby, baby *faces*!! And the Rolling Stones...and next up is Skin and oh my. So many dirty, dirty thoughts spawned by that ep. *happysigh*

Yes, I have a day off. Maybe now I can finally catch up with all the great stuff I've been missing.

I did S9 with the niece and friend and it was the most fun!

What we need is a vacation somewhere with a beach to re-watch. I've *never* watched with anyone else 'live' - only at my computer and us in chat, so....

Yes. A beach. Cabana boys. *Snacks*. :)

SO IN LOVE--*STILL*!

This show...how can it not produce tons and tons of fic explaining just what the heck is going on? The way they look at each other...*happysigh* No matter what, they love each other best! :D

I feel like telling every newbie "Welcome to the express ride. You might think you don't see it now, but you will, you will...." ;)

I started a rewatch recently on Netflix, S1 E1. And...IDK. It was so good, so promising, so full of delicious potential and great fannish memories that it was actually kind of hard for me to continue.

But, you know, I'm a lady of leisure now, so time is on my side.

I'm one of those that thinks the show just got better and better and more interesting as it went along. I've been captured by this show in a way that few shows have been able to. And now that you *are* a lady of leisure, a rewatch would be right on time. TNT is happy to take you there. :)

And congrats on that, by the way. Retirement, not watching SpN. ;)

Thanks!

I'd love to know how to stay in love with a show so devotedly. Don't get me wrong--I've never missed an ep, but I could not make sense of Seasons six and seven. Season Eight was better, and I'm enjoying Nine in that it's gone back to the show's roots.

I do miss the intensely angsty Wincest-y vibe, though.

You sound just like me wanting to love Smallville but generally being confused at the choices they made until the last few seasons, where I threw my hands up in the air and just went with it--ended up enjoying them very much. Strangely, it became much easier for me to watch the show after Lex was gone.

Ach, now to me, the Wincesty vibe is still as strong as ever! Season 8, once we got past the soap opera that was Amelia(tchah! talk about your beard) was dripping with it!

Is it? I'm glad to hear you say so. It feels like ti's been so completely eclipsed by the Destiel (both in fandom and in canon subtext) that I'd started to feel out of touch, not to mention creepy as hell, for still clinging to the Wincest. You're really motivating me towards that proposed rewatch. :D

I can see where it would have been easier to stick with SV after Lex left--Lex was, in the first three seasons, one of the most compelling characters ever, so painful and vulnerable and doomed. I never did know how they gave him his exit when Rosenbaum opted out, but the prospect of him becoming a truly evil adversary like in the comics was pretty depressing. How did they write him out, anyway?
