I'm with you. That was a wasted hour. Not as bad as "Bitten," but still, I won't watch the episode again, and if the pilot makes it to weekly series, I won't bother. It did sort of remind me of a multi-monster version of Kindred:The Embraced (that series was awesome, by the way) but I don't have enough interest in the characters to bother watching more.

Oh, and THERE WASN''T ENOUGH SAM AND DEAN!!!

Now I'm one of the crowd that *adored* Bitten, and I hoped that this ep might be as interesting but ack, it so was not!

If they'd taken the time to write this pilot as interestingly and hired actors the caliber of the Kindred cast than man, it would have been a *great* episode! That's what they need to do--go find Kindred, watch it and take copious notes. That was a *great* show, yes!

And what we got of Sam and Dean was really, really WTF?

Yes! OMG, that was it, the five feuding families. Oh dear. That series was stuffed with wonderful characters and actors and an amusing premise, and it only ran for what--ten episodes? This episode came nowhere near that level of fun.

I know there are some, like you, who loved "Bitten," but I definitely wasn't one of them. I agree the actors weren't of the calibre that were on Kindred. (Man, I still miss Mark Frankel!)

Mark Frankel was a gorgeous, gorgeous man and a very good actor. I can't even believe that show ran so short. Today, on a channel like CW, it would have been a smash hit. I'm going to forget about the show we saw last night and imagine Jensen Ackles as a rival of Julian...*happysigh*

LOL! I was wondering when they were going to mention the Brujah, Toreador, Gangrel, Nosferatu and Ventrue! It makes me want to watch that show again. (I have it on VHS, so I need to get my hands on the DVDs.)

I just bought a set on Half.com for $22. Do you have a VCR that works? Unless you have to have the DVDs, once I get the set I just bought, I'd give you the VHS set I have for the price of shipping it to you.

I definitely feel in the need for a SPN/Kindred crossover! Take Frank the cop out of the mix and replace him with Sam and Dean? I'm so there!
