I think Jensen did a fabulous job this ep. It was a rather bare-boned script, I thought, so they really had to flesh it out with action. The looks those guys gave each other, man! I felt like all the brotherly stuff they so desperately tried to kill was there. Sam is really letting Dean know that he'd not caught the real meaning of what he'd said to Dean last season with the 'letting him die' verkackte mess.

It was and it wasn't. So much going on! But all of it very...low key. I could have done without Crowley's mom storyline, though - it was a distraction.

The moment that got to me was when Crowley said he would "happily" kill Dean if he had to. That tiny exchange said volumes.

This is my favorite Sam and it's becoming my favorite Dean. They have become so fleshed out as characters. They are 3 dimensional people with complex emotions and relationships. I am in love with this season.

I LOVED this episode, thought it was incredible :) The acting was stellar, made me get all teary at moments and made me so, so scared for Dean and every single person around him. Which I'd say was probably the point. :-S

It was a stellar ep--there have been some really brilliant ones this season but I think what made this one great was the way they *killed* it acting-wise. They were both completely there!

It's not like they haven't done variants on this plot before...but it was a good script and a great guest star in Omundson so it worked very well, lots for the actors to chew on.
