Ah, Logan. I've read a few Winter Soldier stories that have him worked in as a traumatized vet. Great character.
The first slash story I ever read was the Secret Diary of Legolas one, iirc. The LOTR is just not sexy to me -- I have a quasi-religious feeling about it -- so I moved on to other, hotter realms pretty fast. It must've been around the same time as you found slash, and it really does seem like a long time ago.
Btw, I just googled for Jordan, not knowing if you had an actual SV character in mind. Google gave me an S3 character with second sight. Does that account for how warm Lex found his hand when he shook it? Nice touch, if so!
Oh my word! No, Jordan is a complete OC! Wow, I didn't remember an SV character named Jordan! He's actually based on Coby Bell, who was on the CW at the same time SV was running.
