Remember when we knew all this stuff about cows and farming because we were writing Smallville? *reminiscing sigh* When I first started writing SpN, I thought, "Man, this stuff is easy! I don't have to know anything about Kansas or farms or billionaires and how much they spend for shirts or prostitutes...." Those were the days, my friend!

Brought to you by reposting old SV fics at AO3. :D

Now, how is SPN easier? You have to know all sorts of weapon stuff, and how to live on five dollars a week, and *is* there a place in Nowhereville, Dakota, to get really good pie...?

The research is the best part of most fic. :)

No, no, that's what I thought back *then* until I really got into writing it and found out that I needed to know stuff like, what's a desert eagle and what kind of medical supplies can you order online and blood types and herbs and...oy!

But the research is the fun part! :D

HA! Yes. I am currently writing a Captain America AU fic. It's supposed to basically be PWP. But the person (it's a challenge) requested a historical time period and....um.

I have a bout twenty or more bookmarks in this fic's folder already, researching stuff, and I know I'm gonna have more and i think the fic can be just 1000 words but...you know....

Reeeeeeeesearch. Because I can't actually write the PWP without knowing what kind of clothing is being ripped off.

*beams at you*
