I've been in love with Christopher Lee for what feels like forever. I was devastated this morning to find out he'd died. Most people probably won't understand how sad it makes me, most folks just know him from the Star Wars movies, or from LotR. I know him from everything. I would stay up all night, waiting for some movie to come on that featured him. I'd scour the TV Guide, looking for his name, than high-light it so I wouldn't forget. My dad was none too pleased about that... :)

You were my favorite Dracula and my favorite Mummy. Thank you, Christopher Lee, for many happy summers hours.

Holy cow. Christopher Lee was a legend. And yes, I've seen * coughs * maybe a fair share of those movies too.

Oh he was! And I saw these movies too many times, me and my little teenage self. In the dark, smiling. ;)

Ah, man, I know! It's like...a whole era is gone, now - a whole epoch. So many things, so many characters, so much *life*....
*smishes you*

He was a great actor and a classy guy. He will certainly be missed.

Man...I really thought he was immortal, you know? All that history, all that knowledge. He gave us what he could, and certainly what we asked for--"that's not the sound a man makes when he's stabbed. Here, like this." But it's tragic how much he took with him that now we'll never have access to.

I'm certainly in awe of his career in movies, but beyond that, he was an amazing individual. The world's a little dimmer without him.

Yes, yes! So much lost forever.

I'll admit, I don't think I've seen him in anything other than the LotR and Star Wars, but he certainly had a presence and very recognizable screen. He'll be missed. :(

How you were with his movies sounds like how I was with Paul Newman's movies growing up. AMC used to be my best friend. :)

Oh yes...the anticipation each time we got a new guide, sneaking it off to check if my week was going to be a good one or not... :D

I'm ashamed to admit I've not seen his horror filmography but did love him as Scaramanga and in "The Wicker Man." Lovely elegant gentleman.

I even sat through Police Academy: Mission to Moscow because Christopher Lee played the Commandant of the Moscow Police. He was the best part of it. :)
