Okay, here I go!

Tomorrow morning we fly to California. On a plane. With me not drugged. I hate it so much, but I love my family, so there you have it. I'll get back here soon as I can. I'll be in and out, I guess. The trip will be two weeks all in all. Two weeks out of my comfort zone.

I need recs for really long, really good, I mean, really well written good SpN fic to stuff in the kindle. Recent stuff, if possible, because I've probably read all the old ones--nah, rec away, because there might be classics I've forgotten. Give me something that's going to keep me from fixating on the fact that I'll be in a motherfucking tin can way the motherfuck up in the goddamn air, jesus.

Well, there's "Affliction" and the TCD stuff of mine, if you want to tackle that whole universe. None of my stuff is good, of course, but if you just need a distraction.... :)

I think I have some stuff bookmarked and/or recced there too, under the Alter Ego's name. (Link on the LJ sidebar if you need it.) firesign's stuff is there too. caffienekitty has a lot of hers on AO3 too, I think. Some of it's bound to be entertaining if not hellaciously long, right?

Hope you and the fam have a wonderful trip! The flight will be perfectly fine. You can sit there and be inspired by the flight and cook up some Mile High Club plot bunnies or you'll be inspired by San Jose and come up with some....Silicon Valley Wincest AUs (not much to do in San Jose, tbh). Be inspired, be calm about the flight but must of all be joyous in the time you'll get relaxing with the family.

I totally feel you re: flying. I hate it. Can you take a benedryl or something? Just to help you sleep, won't make you terribly hung over? Just remember - hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!
