How many times have you been stopped by the police--without doing anything to give them a reason to stop you, like speeding, or weaving all over the road, or throwing stuff out the window?

Ooh. I was working in a job where I finished shifts at 2.30 in the morning. There'd been a homicide a few weeks earlier in the vicinity I was driving and I got followed home until about 100 metres from my driveway when they decided to flash their lights and announce they were a cop. I stopped and pulled over, they came to check and told me they were just checking. I nearly said to them, 'don't ever do that again, you scared the crap out of me following me like that'. I swear, they'd followed me for about three kilometres. It's not pleasant being followed by a strange car for that distance at nearly three in the morning.

*nods* It's scary as hell to be followed like that, not to mention stupid--if they'd actually been tailing a bad guy, they probably would have panicked him into a chase. Idiots.
