I have *no* idea what I saw. I'm looking forward to some smarter person explaining it to me. Not that I wasn't totally involved, I was. It was scary, and nerve-wracking, and had me on the edge of my seat. I was filled with dread the whole time and I was exhausted by the time the show was done. But...I couldn't help feeling like I'd missed something somewhere. It could be because I am so filled with DO NOT WANT for the odd Dean/Amara thing that I was blocking out any part she appeared in, and also kind of blocking out Dean too, in self-defense. We'll see what happens when I rewatch this ep. I rewatched most of last weeks ep and was all ,"Oh! Well, that's certainly different than what I initially saw..." Ha! Always fascinating!

I would post with an appropriate icon, but due to my cheapness, I'm out of icons again. :D

Please do! I don't want to give the impression that the show was bad--it wasn't! It just frustrated me because I felt I was missing some plot point. Arg! I've been that way all week about everything though, so don't pay attention to me, lol! :D

It was a bit "talky" but good performances from all.

I am so filled with DO NOT WANT for the odd Dean/Amara thing that I was blocking out any part she appeared in, and also kind of blocking out Dean too, in self-defense.
It's a very creepy, non-con bond between them but I do like how Jensen plays Dean as making these involuntary movements, jerks, towards her as though she's yanking invisible strings on him.

I do like that. I certainly get the feeling that this thing is so full of dub-con, not even that, like, non-con to the point of really skeeving me. Jensen sells it like a champ.

It seemed like 6 shows packed into 1. Everything happened so fast. I have this terrible feeling that where ever Amara ends up going, she's taking Dean with her.

The one thing that it didn't understand ai all was the Sam gets the mark business. What!?! Why would he do that after seeing what it did to Dean and bringing all of this on trying to remove it. Why couldn't God give it back to Lucifer?

I watched 21 and 22 one after the other, and I started off all rah-rah for my boys, and then god came in, and ok, kinda suspicious, kinda grudging, but still, I am Team!boysandgod because boys, and then, wallop, somehow ended up feeling FOR Amara.

..... I am so confused.

Oh, be afraid, my darling, be afraid. There are a few shining moments because this is SpN, and it just can't suck all the way. But they confused me, and kind of made me get mad at Dean, and I just can't have that.

Here's what I think's going to happen. Chuck, realizing on his deathbed how profoundly he's blown it, agrees to go in the Cosmic Hoosegow with Amara. The Mark, now that it's sealing something balanced, can go to whoever without driving them nuts. In the end, sibling love saves the day against the forces of sibling "oh my GOD, would you get over yourself," which, let's face it, wouldn't be the first time that's happened on Show, and all us little lesser beings are on our own, technically for the first time ever.

God literally quits his job to spend more time with his family. How do you top that for Season 12? I don't know, but I hope it involves Gabriel's grace having been imbued into the Casa Erotica disc he gave to Dean. :)
