5/12/22 11:38 amI think we're finally getting to the end of the covid nightmare in the house. BG and the Small Prince are both feeling better, Mr. R and I are both still good. Fingers crossed that next week will be back to normal.
The dog continues to press my last nerve, but I'm not a baby person, so there you have it. He's really, really excitable. I'm not used to that in a dog. Our first dog was unnaturally reserved, our second dog's philosophy was "Life sucks, screw you, unless you have food in which case, screw you but feed me. Now leave me alone." Our little Thug Life. ♥
Our third dog was quiet, contemplative, very serious about life and also a bit reserved but so beloved that it's hard for me to make room in my heart. I'm sure it will come, but with every day with the new dog, I miss our little gentleman even more.
And SIZE!! those guys were tiny, Papillions, all of them. This thing seems like a moose to me. I'm sure other people would see him as a small dog, (he's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) but to me he is a furry tank. At least it feels that way when he hits the back of your knees. This is not a dog for frail people--he's lively and smart and possessed by the devil and needs LOTS of play. He's also super cute and unreal photogenic, but man, he is a handful. Well, all babies grow up, right? :D And grumpy old ladies eventually soften. *grrr*

5/12/22 08:13 pm (UTC)I have to laugh at your dog size issue - the ex's dog (and she was 'my' dog, too, for a while), is over 70 pounds, and her head comes over my knee when she stands next to you. So, yeah.... :D
Be well! Hope you get used to the doggo.

5/13/22 09:27 am (UTC)I'm more of a cat person, but I've had some dogs too (and birds, and fishes, and a frigging octopus, believe it or not). One of the dogs, Sirius (like the star, no Harry Potter) was really *clingy*. 40kg of a dog (Mmmmm... 88lb) trying his way onto my lap, lol. I feel your pain.
