So. I got an idea this morning, as I was loading the dish washer and little Clark kind of traipsed through my mind and said-- Hey, what if I'd been found by a pair of hell and brimstone evangelists instead of the Kents? And what if it was during the 1930's? When Kansas was ths Dustbowl?

Back up, Aliem, I told him-- I'm still trying to get Clark and Lex laid, trying to get Kirill in bed with Alexei-- I can't possibly do a damn thing more, and I've got Lindsey tapping on my shoulder harder everyday.

But, I kind of like the idea. What do you think?

hee, that's a good idea (as long as it doesn't delay summer story!)

[livejournal.com profile] rose_emily has been posting a fic called All American that deals briefly with Clark growing up in the Depression years, but that fic focuses more on the war (it's fantastic, you should head over and check it out).

oh yes, All American, or as I like to call it, the fic that reduced my muse to a flaming ember and from there to a soggy ash as my tears put out the coals of my inspiration.
Yes-- it is an awfully good story.
