Why? Cause I'm restless and I can't sleeeeeeeeeppp!!!!!

Hope you don't mind, [livejournal.com profile] alice23kate I was pretty sure you said you weren't going to use this and I have some ideas for them...if I was wrong I'll pull it , kiddo! *hug*

Any way, I cut it in two cause it's a little long--first part now, then the rest.

Road Trip
Lindsey and Riley
BtVS
NC-17
Not now and never will be mine...except in my own fevered mind.

Lindsey walked across the lobby, plastic bag swinging in his hand as he tried to remember if he got everything he needed, he knew he got those disgusting peanut butter things for Ri. He smirked as he remembered what he’d done with them the last time. Peanut butter could be good, if you weren’t the one eating it…he noticed the geek behind the counter was waving him over, holding up a sheet of paper. What the hell. He better not be getting any messages or he was a dead man. He strolled over to the counter and tried to look casual. If someone tracked them to this motel, he was dead, and so was Riley.

“What is it?”

Sir,” the receptionist said, pointedly not mentioning his name. “You got a message.” He dropped his voice “That guy in the corner—he’s asking about that guy you checked in with?” He leaned closer,” You told me to tell you if anyone asked about you.”

Lindsey didn’t look, “Right. Good job.”

“You said you’d pay me for looking out.” The clerk’s eyes were enormous and greedy, and he licked his lips in a way that made Lindsey want to slice them off his face.

“Sure, sure,” he said. “Meet me out back after your shift. I’ll take care of you.” He touched the clerk’s wrist with a finger and a tiny spark seemed to glow under it. The clerk’s eyes closed, and he made a breath of sound.
“Okay, okay, thank you,” he moaned.

Lindsey grinned and smacked him on the shoulder. “ Good enough, son. I’ll see you later.” He took the blank sheet from the clerk and glanced casually over to the corner where the man was sitting.

The guy was big, good looking in a starched military way. One of Riley’s little Marine friends no doubt. The man looked up and Lindsey was caught for a moment, the guy had arresting eyes, so icy they seemed to stab right through him. Lindsey smiled and turned away. He could sense the man lost interest immediately. That was good. He went on to the room.

Riley was lying on the bed when he came in. He was dressed and looked bored.
“Lindsey, we moving on soon? This place is pretty boring. I hate when you won’t let me out.”

Lindsey grinned to himself. He bet that Ri didn’t even hear what he’d said to him. He was so completely his, there probably wasn’t anything he could do to his beautiful boy and not be thanked for it. Good. That’s how he wanted it. When he got to L.A., he might need that. He turned to look at Ri—

If he’s still with me. If I still want him …

Riley looked back at Lindsey with an expectant smile. “What," he asked."What’s up, what do you need?” It was just…warming the way the boy was always ready for him.

“Friend of yours in the lobby, I think,” he said as he put the few items away. “Looking for you. He’s got that jarhead look, you know?”

Riley’s brow furrowed. “I can’t imagine why anyone would be looking for me. I separated a while ago—they decommissioned that whole unit. Nothing was left in Brazil—“ He stopped and pressed his lips together, and paled a bit. Lindsey could never get him to speak about South America, no matter what persuasion he used, and he really didn’t want to pick his brain, that was too iffy.

Sometimes you ended up with –well, veggies was a nice term.

“Yeah, well, he’s a big guy, gray eyes, good lookin’ boy--"

“Damn! Graham! What the fuck!"

Riley looked agitated and leapt off the bed. “Why the hell —how! How in hell did he find us?” He turned and glared at Lindsey.” I thought you were hiding our tracks!”

“I was—I am,” Linds said reflectively. “He must be using some kind of pretty good mojo to follow us…this something personal? The military wouldn’t waste that kind of power on one man, unless you know some really good shit…”

“No. They got everything they needed out of me before they cut me loose.” He looked so bitter and absolute about that, that Linds figured they did, and it must not have been pretty. But then, he’d been in on a few retrievals and yeah, pretty bad. Almost as bad as a brain scrub, even though it was very specific.

“Ok, so he’s looking for you. Don’t worry about it. Him, I can take care of. We probably have a few more days before we move on…you hungry?”

Riley smiled slow, laid back on the bed.” Yeah, I am. Come take care of it.”

Lindsey laughed and strolled over to the bed. He grabbed Ri’s crotch and caressed him roughly. He squeezed hard and Riley winced and groaned. He bucked his hips and groaned again when Lindsey let go. “Linds. Lindsey, come on!”
He loved seeing Ri needy, it moved through him like heat, he could almost taste it.

“Got things to do first son. Then I promise, Daddy’ll take care of you. Stay here, get something to eat. It won’t be long.” He was a little hard himself now, got a good tug inside thinking of what was up next, because he had a plan, oh my yes indeed.

The guy in the lobby looked up when he came out, but Lindsey took no notice, walked past and into the parking lot. He saw the clerk waiting at the corner of the building and tilted his head towards the dumpsters. The man went quickly behind them and was looking eagerly at Lindsey when he met him there.

He rolled his sleeve up and licked his lips as Lindsey touched his finger to the bared flesh and groaned as Lindsey muttered a few words. A faint purple glow sparked under his finger, it seemed to flow into, along the man’s arm. His head snapped back and he hissed through his teeth, they ground together and he shook from time to time, groaning. He finally slumped to the ground and sat, trembling and gasping. Lindsey watched him for a few seconds, patted him on the shoulder and walked off.
Idiot.

Lindsey had no time or sympathy for junkies of any stripe. He wondered idly if there was anything around these parts that might be attracted to magic…he wasn’t worried, he could damp his down to nothing, but junkie boy behind the dumpsters, he was practically a siren, flaring off magic all over, hope there wasn’t anything hungry out here. He strolled into the lobby and sized up Graham.
Ok, boy, let’s get it in motion.

“Hey.” The guy looked up at Lindsey. Wow, he’s …big. Lindsey grinned. “You looking for Riley Finn?”

“Who are you?” He looked at Linds so suspiciously it made him want to laugh.

“A friend. You want to talk to him? Come with me, he wants to talk to you. About, you know.” Lindsey shrugged and let his charmer grin settle on his face. He called it right, the guy looked at him with fresh interest. He figured he knew why this guy would put himself in danger by playing with magic. He’d bet anything this Graham had no real idea of what he was messing with.

He gestured for Graham to follow him and went back to the room. He could feel the guy hesitate, and then follow him. Yeah. He dipped his head and grinned, opened the door and stepped through.

Riley looked up and smiled when he saw Linds. His jeans were unbuttoned and unzipped, his hand was splayed across his stomach and his fingers were carding through the dark hair curling up to his navel. He opened his mouth and stopped, stared when he recognized Graham standing behind Lindsey.
