I ...can't ...stop ...reading 'The Yard'...omfg, it's sooooo good. Help. And it's two parts and the second part isn't up, and I need to finish my stuff and I just can't stop reading. It's so cool and extra added big ass bonus? It's really good SF, really good SF. *happy sigh with a side order of guilt*

An SF style Smallville fic, alternate dimensions and Kal as evil overlord and Lex and Clark caught between a war between Earth (or what's left) and Kryptonians, and I am the suck at summaries, but its's good, trust me. The author is [personal profile] seperis

Oy, I'm sayin'! I love this fandom to itty bitty pieces! Everyone's got a brilliant take on The Story and there's just so many ways you can go. I love BtVS, but there are very few folks who do what these SV writers do. IMHO. :)

OMG, I know exactly what you mean. I spent all of Monday reading that ... obsessively reading it because I couldn't look away. And then Tuesday, I found out [livejournal.com profile] privatetentacle had read it too and we spent a good part of the morning just talking about the fic. Jenn's writing is so beautiful to read ... I can't wait to read the rest!!

I know it! I had to stop to take my Pop to his dctors visit, and now I'm afraid to continue-- you know, how you did when you were a little kid and would nibble endlessly on a special piece of candy because you knew you wouldn't get more? you had to make it last. Or...have I just always been kind of nutty? *G*

I am the kid who never had that kind of patience. I'm the adult who will race through something the first time just to be done, so I can go back and start all over. We all have our own kinds of insane ... wanting to draw it out and make it last is actually much more reasonable than my headlong dash into madness.

Oooooooh...I was reading this recently as a WIP from her lj memories...only it went up to and ended at part 8. I'm so excited! Thanks for mentioning Jenn's latest. I've zipped over to her site to download her story for later reading. Yay! I was in despair that it forever stay a WIP.
