I'm home, I'm exhausted and getting ready to go to bed. :)
This Christmas has been emotionally draining, and kind of horrible. I'm more than glad that it's over for another year. I've been thinking about the year in general and in general it's been good. I'm not sure what brought the tailspin on--maybe the empty nest thing, maybe aging, maybe I'm just a wackaloon. But you know what? No matter how crap I've felt you guys made me feel better. Always. You know that I love you guys, even the ones that don't know me. (i'm such a *lurker!!*) I love what you do, I love the way you write, I love reading your thoughts about all kinds of things. I love reading about your dogs, love reading about your kids, your careers, the wrap up of them, the changing of them. I love reading about the things that make you happy and the things that make you hilariously pissed off. I'm so happy when good things happen to you, and sometimes have to cry along with you when things aren't great. I love the way you reach out when I need you. I seriously can't imagine how these last ten years would have gone if I'd have had to do them without friends. Mr R is, god knows, a prince among men, a saint and my dear heart, but sometimes you need your girl(and guy)friends and every time I do, you're there. I've said this a lot through the years and you'll hear it from me again, no doubt--you are all amazing people. Whether we talk every day or only once in a rare while, doesn't matter. You're still my friend. Even if we don't talk anymore I still think of you fondly.
The light is always on, right?
