What a nice day I had! I went to lunch with a lovely young so-worker, she's absolutely a doll baby. It was her birthday so I treated her. She needed a little treat. Afterward, I beat her up in the parking lot, so folks wouldn't get the idea I was soft or something...naaaahhh! Kidding!

I also got a haircut so I'm feeling pretty spiffy! What? What's wrong with spiffy? It's a good word. Lots and lots of gangstah rappers use "spiffy." It's true. *nods*

You know, I was driving home and thinking about my sis, and remembering what fun we used to have...on a sunny warm day like today, we'd drive around with the windows down, screaming out the lyrics to our favorite song on the radio--'Cisco Kid,' 'Low Rider', shit, anything by War was the bomb, as the children used to say, and at the lights we used to pretend we were popping our hydraulics-- you know, jumping up and down like crazy little fuckers...good times, good times. Anything that had a latin flavor was the shit back then, looks like that's rolling around again, what with Reggeton being so popular--but I'm telling you, we think we know how to party--Latin's man--they party the heart out of a thing. I used to love going to the spanish dances with this crazy boy I knew way back in the day. Only part that got on my nerves was explaining No, I ain't Puerto rican and no, I can't speak no Spanish.

You know something? I LOVE reading your posts. You make me laugh, you make me remember, you just make me smile. If we worked together, we would totally get along, I swear! You remind me a little of the co-worker I have lunch with every day. I bought her lunch today, I do every Thursday because she's nice enough to drop me off on her way home from work 4 days a week.

And I used to know someone who said "spiffy" all the time! We'd ask how she was and she'd go "Juuuuuuust spiffy!" Miss her...*sigh*
