This is getting a little longer than I thought it was going to be. I really underestimated how long the ep rewrite would be. *feels doofy* Plus all that packing in explanations and stuff. Geez. Anyhoo, here we are at part 11. I hope you like it.

Previous Parts are here, reading your diary and acting out the good parts.

VI
Clark was surprised that suddenly Lex seemed to be his best friend. Every time he had a free moment, he invited Clark to the Castle and Clark was more than happy to visit. He learned to play pool, and tennis, he went swimming in the pool and he picked up the rudiments of fencing, Lex even had a suit made for him when none of Lex’s fit him. He listened to the newest CD’s and saw the newest movies and occasionally saw prints not even in the theaters yet.

He loved it; he felt almost like he lived there, he was at the castle so much. It was beyond cool to have a friend who seemed to know everything and everybody. He was even friends with Bruce Wayne--*the* Bruce Wayne, whose company had designed the coolest car ever, way hotter than a Hummer and Lex promised that he’d take him to visit and drive that car…but it was much, much more than that, more than anything he gave him or showed him. Lex had an air about him that made him want to be like him, be as smart and as well dressed and as handsome and confidant. He’d always known Lex would be like this, so—so-- perfect.

Even though he was older, he never treated him like a kid, not like he treated Lucas.

Actually, it bothered him a little. It made him feel funny sometime how Lex treated his little brother, how they were to each other. Didn’t they know how important family was? Maybe it had something to do with Lex’s father—he seemed kind of a cold guy. He should maybe talk to Lex about how he was treating Lucas.

He was pretty sure he saw Lucas crying after one of their weird little fight-not-fights…maybe he should talk to Lucas.

The class was being herded like wayward sheep into one area of the plant, the teacher’s aide acting like a put upon sheepdog. Clark and his friends tried to stick together. It was sure to be dead boring--like Lex asked, “what did you do wrong to deserve this?”-- but at least they could entertain themselves. Clark hung at the back of the crowd, looking about. Maybe Lex would show up and –and something. He blushed a little.

Lucas brushed up against him and whispered a little too close in his ear. “He’s not here. Gabe Sullivan runs the little community relations tours…sorry Clark.”

Clark could feel the stupid blush darkening and suddenly yipped aloud. Jeez! Lucas just—groped him. He whipped around, but Lucas just grinned at him smoothly and winked, lifted a brow-- You mind? Clark frowned at him and tried to move away from him, but he followed Clark until Whitney called him over.

“Hey Luke!-- Oh, Clark. What’s up? How were things with that strange handy man guy of yours, Clark?”

Clark stuttered out, “Okay, now, I guess—actually I’m not sure what was wrong with him. The doctor’s didn’t know either--”

“Yeah, okay--So, did you get in trouble for the party?”

Clark blushed again, and stuttered something out, and Lucas purred, “Yeah Clark, did you get in trouble?”

Clark glanced at Lucas and nodded. Lucas smiled at him and he couldn’t help but smile back. He felt stupid about feeling guilty—it wasn’t as if he was…being unfaithful. He knew it wasn’t Lucas’ fault, but he just wasn’t sure how he felt. Every time he tried to think about it, all he remembered was Lucas’ hands on his bare skin, his teeth against the tender skin of his throat…

Clark bit the inside of his mouth, worrying his cheek as he tried to figure out exactly what *had* happened last night. He wouldn’t have let Lucas close if Lex hadn’t shown up with that—girl—and the huge *hicky* on his neck. Lucas and Lex had fallen into their usual verbal sparing and Clark had stood there and tried not to glare at Lex, because his sex life was really none of his business—falling in love with a glamorous stranger (even if it happened to be a stranger whose life you saved) didn’t give you a right to question their sex life and falling in love with a straight glamorous stranger was stupidity of a huge order.

And speaking of mantal ability… yesterday had been the *height* of stupidity. Mom and Dad had gone out for the night for an anniversary celebration. The fact that it required them to leave overnight was something he wasn’t thinking about too hard. What he should have been thinking about were all those teen movies that ended up with a big party when the ‘rents were out of town. Or at least remembered the lesson stuck in them-- sort of. Parties with no parents were bound to blow up out of control. Like this one did.

He’d gone to his bedroom to catch a breath and while up there had pulled out his scrap book—his stalkers manual he called it when he was in a joking mood about it, his collection of heart break is what it really was. Picture after picture of Lex alone, with family, with girls, girls, girls. He knew from the start he didn’t have a chance with him…it just kind of hurt to have that reinforced for him in living breathing color right in front of him. A knock on the door had led to Lucas poking his head in and smiling ruefully at him.

“You okay?”

“Of course why shouldn’t I be?” Clark looked at Lucas with an effort at a puzzled grin. God, I'm the worst liar in the world.

“Because I saw the way you looked at Lex and his girl…I understand.”

Clark gawped at Lucas. “I don’t know what you mean.”

“It’s okay Clark. I know.” He pointed at the open book on Clark’s lap. Clark blushed, slammed the book shut and Lucas smiled gently. Clark thought it was nice smile.

“You and I are in the same boat, I think.” He sat uninvited on the bed, a little too close. “I know what it feels like to like someone and not have them like you back”—so bitter sounding that for moment Clark was surprised enough to step out of his own misery.

“Sounds like you do.” he said. So. Lucas was gay…Clark felt a little thrill in the pit of his stomach. Someone he could talk to-- maybe Lucas had more experience to his none.

Lucas threw an arm over his shoulder, “iIt’ll be okay though—you’ll survive, believe it. You’ll find someone who likes you back…”

Clark shook his head. “Not in Smallville,” he said.

Lucas pulled him close and said, “Trust me, I’ve been where you are.” He ran his fingers through Clark’s hair and leaned his head against his and closed his eyes. He moved slowly, so softly that Clark barely registered the movement. He didn’t get a chance to think about his lips ghosting over his cheek, so slowly, so lightly, hardly there, feathery touches on his neck, his ear, his mouth, skating smoothly over his skin until every bit of it was tingling and begging for real sensation.

He’d shuddered from head to toe and groaned so loud when Lucas licked his ear, and touched his tongue to him here and there, quickly, leaving him moaning for it, then Lucas kissed him. A real kiss, with lips and teeth and tongue, a kiss that left him gasping. He’d been lost then, Lucas had kissed and kissed him into stupidity. He was groaning and Lucas was breathing heavy and it made him want to give everything to him. Clark quivered at every touch of Lucas’ mouth—he couldn’t stop. None of his dreams involved any one but Lex, none of his dreams were even close to the feeling Lex’s brother was making him feel, he felt like he was taking advantage of Lucas--

God! He dropped back against the bed and pulled Lucas with him, settled him between his legs. Clark started to get hard and he could feel Lucas rubbing against his leg, hard and hot, but Lucas rolled them to their sides, continuing to kiss Clark but keeping a distance, not touching. Clark gasped out an apology, “Sorry, sorry,” but still he tried to push forward, he wanted that feeling, he needed to feel Lucas hard against his own erection, he knew it would feel so good—

Lucas whispered, his breath hot and wet in his ear, "No, no—slow down, slow down,” Clark was about to beg him to continue, he was about to promise him any damn thing when--

BANG! The door practically jumped in its frame when the knock came again.

“Clark! Are you in there? Why is your door locked? Clark—you better get out here!” Lana must have kicked the door—how long was she knocking, Clark wondered, torn between embarrassment and befuddled lust.

Lucas had rolled upright again and smiled at him. “Sounds important Clark, better check it out.”

Clark blushed and went to the door, trying to pull himself together. They left the room together and Clark refused to look at Lana or Lucas.

Clark's so cute with those clippings of Lex! Love how you wrote Clark being jealous of Lex's beard, because that's *totally* what happened in the original ep!

You know, Clark isn't the smartest apple in the bunch, but does he have to be so damn easy? Of course he does, but, still. He should really make Lucas work for it a *little*. *sigh*
