I missed everything except the last few minutes and I saw Lex talking to clark--or more accurately ass-whipping Clark. (damn,what happened there?) and I saw Lana. *shudder* (I don't care what happened there.)
Chloe looks very pretty, she seems less shrill these last few episodes.
So--did I miss anything important?

Yeah, Lex effectively and succinctly read Clark.

I kind of liked it, I kind of didn't--Clark deserves it, but we didn't get enough of them as friends this season for them to be trotting out the 'Lex is evil' pony just yet.

Leading up to that moment, Lex was trying to push Clark for info on the caves. He even took Clark to the caves and Clark was explaining what should be on the walls. So now, although Lex knew Clark had been lying to him, he knows without a doubt Clark lied to him about the caves. So Clark deserved it fully.

I haven't heard if the show is coming back for a 6th season, so if next season is going to be the last, they have to rush the Evil!Lex pony, so I think that's why they're nudging it along.
