Well, I don't know what happened, but somehow Targehell found that they do have an employee named Susan *shutup* (or whatever I decide to call myself on any given day) and they do want me there, so for the next two weeks, I'm working like a slave girl. I'm afraid to protest, as I do not want them to chop my foot off and change my name. (i'm in charge of that, thankyou) I'm pleading advanced age to any heavy lifting and trying to make them understand that I require more frequent breaks than the younger ones do, but it's not working, they just laugh and pat me on the back. "Oh, you so funnee."
Hello? Not joking!

Now, I don't want you to get the wrong idea here, yer mother worked very hard for many many years, and now, at the dawning of the twilight (shutup!) of her years, she figures what ther fuck--it'a time to not take this shit seriously. Strangely, she is alone in this feeling, which causes some problems. *shakes head* People--they're so...interesting.

so, see you tonight? *winkwink*

Oh yeah, that's the Target way. Under-schedule, work you past your hours and hold you to account for it. A 'level one' such as myself is little better in their eyes than a trained hamster. And they don't give proper breaks, not according to Jersey law, but they seem to get away with it just fine here. I have to say though, so far as that goes-- Sears takes the cake. They violate those laws like they don't exist. Retail--it's just a more complicated way of spelling Slavery.
