BFF Visit!

roxyMy best friend from childhood--well, J and I have been friends since I was 19, has come back home to Jersey. It's been a looooong time since she's come back, and I'm glad she has. Her mom is getting on, so it's nice she's here.
Today, we had a kind of on the fly cook-out. Mr. R made delicious smoked ribs because he is the Rib King. He's like amazing at so many things! Lucky bitch, me. ;)
J and her mom brought foodstuffs, including the world's best potato salad. Mrs. J's Mom kills with that, omg. Food...I *love* food!
J is being supercool about my little mental hiccups. She's willing to trade out a day in New York at the Guggenheim for a day at Philly's museum. I'm pretty sure I can take Philly without a meltdown but New York? No way. Too far from home if I loose it. Things have gotten a little more intense for me since last we saw each other. We flew out to see her last time, and I was in a lot better shape back then. But regardless, we'll make sure she has a good time, if it kills me. *g*
'Course, this drastically cuts down on myporning on-line time....
