OMG!! What do you call it when you plagarize yourself?? Is there a term for that--besides senility I mean....

I've been reading a lot of old stuff lately, working on Summer and other things and waaaaaaahhh! Is it just me? Am I the only one who thinks, "ooo, this a lovely bit," and yank it wholesale out of the back of their own minds? God...I guess I should be glad I'm not stealing from anyone else. *sigh*

I should have kept taking the Paxil.

It *is* against some sort of law to plagiarize yourself, but since you're not getting graded or published, I think we're all cool with it. And if it means your characters are staying true to the way you want them, then there isn't anything wrong with that. It means you know what you like, and what works.

Oy. You guys are so kind. It really was a 'holy shit' moment. The line I 'stole'was about two years old--it just seemed like I had a really clever thought. Maybe it means I like my stuff more than I thought I did. *bigolegrin*
