Grrr--so what's new?

You know what I hate? When you come up with a perfect title--perfect! So damn perfect that a little voice in your head says,"Naaah--that's too good--someone else used that already."
What! you say--Fuck off voice! but the little voice keeps nagging (like they do) so I ran the title through SSA.

Yep. Been used, and by a brilliant writer, of course, which is why it stuck in my head. Natch.

Back to the drawing board.

Yeah, I decided to go with that--it's just--bleah. The title was so good, and considering it was a Velvetglove story--yeah. No way could I fudge it and use it myself. Boy howdy--I keep doing that too. I guess my brain doesn't throw away any info, except where the heck my car keys are and did I pay my credt card bill this month. :(

I've titled a fic the same as someone else. And, since you can't copywrite titles anyway, I'm fine with that. Why can't you do the same? It's not like the stories are the same.

It worked out okay, in fact, I like the new title a lot better!

I just felt weird using a title that's pretty well known.
