*sigh*
I'm feeling kind of...in the box. I'm not playing well with others. The job has been a bit of a grind, a lot more soul-sucking than usual. I blame it on execs desperate for bonuses and the real belief that Targ-hell (and most retail) has that one person can do the work of a full crew if they put their mind to it, and are properly motivated by fear. Sadly, fearing for my job only makes me crabby and want to strike out at the innocent.
And another thing. People, people--curb your children. I may be fat and white haired and jolly looking, but appearances deceive--the only way I'd like your kid is in a cream sauce with asparagus on the side. I won't watch them and your purse while you change. I will not entertain them while you shop. I will not discipline them when they act out--that's your job, damn it. And if you were half-way decent at that, you wouldn't be asking possibly dangerous people to look out for your kid. Just because I work here doesn't mean I'm sane or trustworthy....
So, my crabbiness slops over into my LJ life. But because I love and value you guys, I try and keep my bad mood to myself. I'm not very interactive anyway, but not because I don't care. You know I do.
*sniff* my stories are breaking my heart. They are sitting in the corner staring at me. I'm staring at them. And we're both thinking, who are you kidding? But I keep going because I don't know what else to do. *g*
Want to hear some good things? BG's pics of Italy are beautiful. What a thrill to see pictures of places I wrote about in L&C Do Europe. Also she was very kind and didn't say "Maaaaaaaaaaaah-aaaahmmmm!!" when I'd chirp, "oh Clark was there! Lex and Clark visited that place!" She'd just smile and say, "oh yes?" as if I was sane. *g*

She's letting me post her pics, even though she had a fit about me posting pics of myself. She's still afraid one of you will be so overcome at my pucuddlegyness that you'll want to steal me away....goodness. We've wandered to the end of another post. I feel a teeny bit better for sharing. Thanks!
