The lack of NC-17 fics? I guess I'm just so used to it- the very first fic I ever read was NC-17, and the vast majority after that. Maybe it is a fandom thing, we all just want Clark and Lex or Tim and Kon to boink non-stop.
I just can't wrap my brain around Shawn/Lassiter. Lassiter isn't even attractive, in my eyes.
Oh I totally agree. I was trying to give the fandom the benefit of the doubt. If I remember my intro into the Smallville fandom I think one of the first stories I read had Lex and Clark going at it in graphic terms and this was week after the start of the show.
Lassiter is just... yuck. Not unattractive I guess. But Shawn as better slash interactions with Gus then he ever has with Lassiter - I just don't ... When I started to look for Psych fic I figured it was just a matter of time before I would be awash with Shawn/Gus. I mean come on best friends always in each others pockets. I don't even really see Shawn/Lassiter (Gah, that leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.)
My first story I read in SV had Clark or Lex sucking the other off in the back of a limo, and maybe some penetration, I can't remember anymore. That was during season 3, though, but I don't recall when the story took place.
I just didn't see any Shawn/Lassiter before I saw the fics, and even after that I didn't really see it. Not the way Shawn and Gus are bestest friends. The fandom seemed to start with Shawn/Gus, though a lot of it was cutesy stuff, but now I can't remember the last one that was posted. Maybe I should try to come up with something to stir things up a bit. NC-17, of course, if I do think of something.
He is just unattractive. don't be afraid to say it. Blargh. I'm shallow, I like my OTP to be attractive and together, Gus and Shawn are. And plus, just picturing Shawn's dad if he found out--HAHAHA!!
