I liked it. So far, there hasn't been an ep I've disliked. Clark is a dick, but he's so pretty that I can't help but love him. Actually, he's not really being a dick. To me, it seems that he is trying hard not to like Lex. He still cares, no matter how much he doesn't want to. It's hard to tell sometimes if he's upset about losing Lana or Lex. They seem to be kind of mashed together for him.
No wonder he's making eyes at Queen, he misses those manly hugs.

Chloe continues to make me really like her. She looks fabulous, she's smart, funny as hell--she's like a combo of Willow and Xander, with the goof extracted and a pinch of Buffy tossed in for pluck. Not that annoying "I can so kick your ass with my mad karatay skillz--jesus, I hate that Lois bitch. Also, on a completely evil, shallow and nasty personal level, I fucking hate her nose--OMG! Get A fucking nose job--or stop getting nose jobs--did Michael Jackson teach you nothing? Garrr. She makes me make pirate noises at the TV.

Lex--Lex was interesting this time out.(od course) He's definitely heading for some kind of implosion, I think. He came off best of everyone here, even with his horrible loss of control in the flashbacks. His self loathing is so apparent, and when you think of him in past eps, you can see how hard he's tried to build a wall around those memories, how he tried to flip the script. He'd do anything for a friend, and took any opportunity to prove he was a friend to those he deemed worthy, Unfortunately, the one thing he never learned was what makes a real friend. Lionel really fucked that boy up--he was always there to take away any chance Lex ever had to become the type of man he wanted to be.

Lana...unless those two are actually pawing at each other, I don't believe for one minute he loves her. The chemistry between them is zilch which is so odd, because I'm thinking in RL, Mikey would jump on that in a minute, the perv. Blerg. Lex, Lex...he makes me so sad. It's watching a slow motion car crash, I tell ya.

Plus, how come Lois' dad is a general, and she doesn't know how to act at a formal dinner? What the eff? Why are they playing her as a bumpkin or something? whether she wanted to or not, at some point, she would have has to have gone to some formal affair, wouldn't she? God I hate her.

Lois! Woe is the Lois! I haven't seen the episode yet, but I was reading 1950s-1960s Superman, and I realized what was wrong with the SV Lois: she's been infantilized.

Why the fuck do they continue to dress her as if she was in the ninth grade? Chloe is dressing in a businesslike spunky way, so this dressing down of Lois must be intentional. Is it because the producers fear the actress is too old, so they think putting her in low rise jeans and wide belts will make her look younger?

They seem to be confusing clueless and tactless with sassy. Grotesque!

The 1959 Lois, for instance, was the managing editor when Perry White took a vacation. And that was in 1959, when women were treated like shit! Lois really had her act together. Comic book Lois has always been someone a young girl could look up to and think, "Hey, smart can work." But now...

Michael Rosenbaum is a sucker for large breasts, so I don't think he would be all over it. I buy the chemistry when they make out, but when they aren't they seem to be Just Friends. I cannot explain this.

There had better be lots and lots of episodes where Clark and Lex are forced to work together for the common good/common evil, or I'm going to weep.

Ah, see, Lois and I have a long and unhappy relationship. When I was a wee Roxy, I was really unhappy about being a girl, so Lois just got in the way of Superman's cool adventures. Plus, I thought Jimmy made a better friend for him. *nudgenudge, yep even kind of then* I never really took to her. The only Superman girlfriend I could stand was the mermaid.
I agree about the dressing thing, too--that broad hasn't seen high school in an embarrassingly long time. She's got crows feet--hell, she's got condor's feet.

I think Lex and Lana have that comfortable love borne out of a desire to not be alone. So she’ll finish herself off quietly under the covers and he’ll spend hours at the office with the cleaning guy, but they’ll have each other which is more than they’ve had in awhile.

That's hilarious! My sister said the same thing when we were watching last night including the Michael Jackson refrence. I didn't hate her last night, but I don't find her attractive in the least.

And yes, everything you said about Lex except for the Lexana lacking chemistry cause I totally think they have tons. He loves her the best he knows how, which means in a fucked up she loved Clark so if she loves me then I must be good too sorta way. He's totally going to choose that black box over her next week(speculation based on the preview, not spoiler).

I think that's the impression we're supposed to get--that Lex is looking for salvation from Lana and love now, instead of Clark and friendship, but unless they are actually *being* sexual, there's a more brotherly vibe--the vibe he and Clark were *supposed* to have, lol!

Mind you--and this may be a sign of the Apocalypse--I could watch those two sexing all day.

Exactly! Yes! Oh, it is so sad. And it is interesting that the writers are still making Lex out to be the victim in the show, despite the fact that he's considered the Big Bad by all of the characters. It makes me wonder if that's on purpose, you know? Just a continuation of his entire life.

I think they still want to make Lex woobie-ish. It's a great device, and always makes the villain so much more interesting, and sets up a conflict in the viewer--or reader. You want to hate them, you should hate them, but there's something there...*G* I enjoy that myself.

Can't say I ever really LIKED SV's Lois, but I didn't hate her until the 5th season when she started bitching about Lex. (Hey, he's saved her cousin's life and her uncle's life, and gotten her back into college [not that she managed to stay], and tried to help her thieving sister, and still all she can do is make nasty cracks about the man?)

What had ME snarling about "Reunion" was Oliver Queen. I disliked him from his initial scene with Lionel, but now -- having watched "Reunion" -- I truly and seriously hate him. I was bullied in school myself, and I have NO tolerance for it, and I kept wishing the Green Arrow weren't DC canon so that Oliver could get splattered all over the landscape like his scum-sucking friends. When he made his pseudo-apology to Lex, I literally cheered as Lex neatly threw it back in his face. So I can't at all get behind the Oliver/Clark vibe everyone else seems to be seeing, as I can't look at Oliver without wishing him messily dead.

But Lex was gorgeous, as usual.

Okay first of all -- Love the new layout. Like seriously tons. It's beautiful. I am huge fan of prints like this! It's very woodcut like...this... makes me just swoon!

Second: After re-watching Reunion, I gotta agree about Clark just not at all sure what he's feeling toward Lex or Lana. *sigh* Figured out why I don't like Queen. He looks unfinished, unpolished and generally roughly carved next to Clark OR Lex. And his chin? That could put an eye out. And like Jak, I have issues with bullies. That makes him hard to like, and I didn't even realize I was doing that. :P Gee! Repressed much? :P

Third: Allison Mack rocks. I just wish she wasn't superchloe, though. I mean, I'd like to have someone catch her hacking or she admits to not being able to do anything. Make Clarkbar use his lil noggin.

Forth: Erica Durance. I think she does as well as she can with what she's given, considering. I hate that they dress her in such tight clothes and well, is it just me, or is her mouth wierd? She scares me. And after reading comments here, I agree. She is infantilized. Bleh. Though, this episode she was not so bad because they sort of had her doing what she was supposed to be doing, which is being all investigative.

Fifth: Lex. (Everyone is raving over the actor that played young Lex. I had a hard time buying it was him until he went a bit crazed there. And I did love the hat. Big time. eee. He was quiet, restrained, and I liked that so much in this episode. I really liked that he did not give Queen an inch when the other was admitting to being a bully. Really. Because that's just something I'd love to do to the people that harassed me.

Sixth: Lana/Lex Mike/Kristin -- It's so sublimated. I see Lex being with Lana not because she's Lana, but because she was with Clark. ANd he has to have that tiny piece of his love that he can hold onto. Lana? She's with Lex because he's interested in her and she just can't be alone ever. Slow motion car crash. Perfect description of their relationship.

And lois again? Because the writers are stupid. :P
