Oh wow! Thank you so very much! I'm always nervous about my composition,I know I tend to be very static,so I have to work hard within my limitations.I'm so happy that you felt it worked. I'm strangely becoming more comfortable with pencils instead of pens, it was the opposite when I worked a lot. Now, I'm trying to get my proportions right again, sheesh!(man, I bitch a lot, don't I?)
You have created several interesting triangles in the composition which cut up the space and create good flow. It is beautiful. You should stick with pencil if it draws you. I am more or a pastel/acryllic gal, myself.
see, these things are a mystery to me! I wrestled with different media forever and discovered that I. Just. Have .No .Talent.when it comes to paint. But! I fudge it pretty good with Dr. Martin' Dyes( the school girl's chum) and tech pens, so it's a glorified coloring book thing, but I've gotten some good effects.Put a brush in my hand, and I just freak--and color on the whole is scary territory too! I was pretty much the butt of jokes in my painting classes.(but, quietly, and behind my back.lol!)
I was tortured with pencils and graphite sticks and charcol and conte and ink and every goddamn colorless medium under the sun for years in art school because Cruella thought I would go crazy with color and loose my dicipline (what precious little I had) and so I didn't get to paint until the end and now it is all I want to do.
