I really love this story and now Martha knows and she'll help fix it.

The ending of this section was an interestingly dark way to describe Lex's hope.

I think when you're used to living on the edge of darkness all the time, imagining that there's a light ahead of you is difficult. Making the choice to move ahead towards that light has to be a lot like destroying everything you've been used to, even if all it did was hurt you.

The fact that Martha hasn't given up on Lex and physically kicked him out of the house after his confession gives me hope for Clark and Lex yet. :)
