what me?...no, no. You tell me a story. I got no stories. However, I have a buttload of ideas...*rubs little paws together* I want so much! I have this great idea( I think) for an SpN story, but I'm not sure I can write it--it's time travel and demonic possession and Route 66...I've got a middle piece written for a story about Lex and Bruce and Clark and Bruce is a gang boss who owns the Eastcoast...yeah! Time, and money, that's all I need. And yes, I'm avoiding Mariposa again. *sigh*
Once upon a time, in land far far away, there lived a prince named Alexander and his father, King Lionel. As Alexander grew from a spoiled child to a petulant teenager and finally to an arrogant young man, he spent his days lazing about the castle, reading books and taking the maids and stable boys to bed.
King Lionel did not approve of his son's actions and upon Alexander's 21st birthday, he banished him to a village on the far outskirts of the kingdom until he turned 25 or until he learned responsibility. After all, the king did not want to let his kingdom fall assunder upon his son taking the throne.
Upon learning of his fate, Alexander had thrown a typical royal tantrum and all but refused to go until his father had delievered the ultimatum; go or lose his right to the throne. For it seemed there was another heir, one that had only recently been discovered. Lucas shared his father's blood, but that of a different mother.
Sliding gracefully into the saddle of his horse, and with a parting glare to his father, Alexander began the arduous journey to the village known as Smallville.
As the days passed, the world around him seemed to change. The sun grew brighter, the sky bluer, the air cleaner and the trees and flowers more vivid than they ever had been in the heart of the kingdom. So enraptured was he with his surroundings, that prince Alexander failed to see the small fox dart out beneath his horses's hooves. The animal reared and the prince was thrown free, head hitting a rock as he tumbled down a grassy slope to land in the river running to the side.
The chill of the water rushing around him, pulling him under, failed to wake the unconscious prince. He lost himself in blue sky and white cloud while back on land his still form was wrenched from the river's clutches by strong, steady hands.
When life was breathed back into him, prince Alexander opened his eyes to find his vision filled with the face of an angel, the face of his saviour. He sputtered, coughed water, turned onto his side and into the arms of his rescuer. Catching his breath, he looked up into startled, green eyes.
"You saved me," he whispered, leaning close and brushing a kiss across soft, parted lips.
"No," the angel of a man spoke softly. "You saved me."
Oh! My goodness! Thank you! What a wonderful story! This seals it--YOU shall have my millions when I shuffle off this mortal coil! *koff* I have to win them first, but when I do--you're top of the list! *twirls you round and round and shmooches you*
She left because she lost her damn mind--as for the actress, no clue.
I don't know, and she'd not really working for me.
OMG, isn't that the truth, I was looking at him(hard) tonight, thinking: yes, yes, yes. Why don't they talk about him? He's fine-like Omar fine. *makes room for his shoes under bed*
No Kidding! That man is all sorts of fine! I was just a couple days ago pondering a post about him and how I cannot believe he isn't more well known and loved.
yes! it's crazy! I mean, he has the most beautiful eyes, and mouth and cheekbones and everything, he's just so hot! We'll just have to make the world sit up and notice!
I've been a goner on this show from the start. I want to bring Reid home and keep him in my pocket or something! Even Patrick (he'd be the 14 yo son) loves this show!
It hasn't disappointed me a single time...and last season's cliff hanger drove both me and Patrick nuts all summer! The writers of this show know how to make it work!
I just started watching Criminal Minds this season. I'm getting sucked into the fandom, slowly but surely. I *just* read a short Reid/Morgan fic on cm_slash called Down to Your Bones. Reid examining Morgan's scars. Very nice. Morgan is definitely my favorite, I love his interactions with Garcia.
It's hard to find anything on on the cm_slash comm, because they don't use tags or memories, you just have to hunt through. It's a lot easier on bau_fic - they have everything tagged here. And most of the things I see on cm_slash are also posted here. It looks like Reid is in most of the slash fic, with Hotch/Reid being the most popular slash pairing. But Gideon/Reid and Morgan/Reid are very closely matched for second and third.
I wondered about Elle, too. There are usually one of two reasons The Powers That Be will write a character off. Either she requested it for some reason or other (another gig, health, family, bored), or TPTB decided she needed to go (her rating's weren't high enough, they thought the show needed fresh blood.) I hope it's not the latter, because I don't find myself interested in the new one, I'm rather disappointed to see Elle go. So if TPTB did this, I hate to hear it, it doesn't bode well for their decisions for the rest of the show/cast/character development/whatever.
I've been meaning to go through criminalxminds and see if they mention why she left, 'cause that happened when I was avoiding LJ, trying to concentrate on a story I'm writing, so I never got the scoop as to why it happened. Besides, I was still pretty new in the fandom, so I wasn't paying that much attention at the time.
So I suggest bau_fic first...I hope you find some good stuff!
