I'm still all puffy-brained and sleepy from the drugs, and there's a certain sense of...owie, and ick. Thanks for letting me share this experience with you. :)
Earlier, I tried to gather my thoughts about the unfortunate goings on. It's behind the cut because I bet most of you are sick of hearing about it.
I've been thinking about what happened. I don't usually like to make public comments about disturbing incidents, because there is no way to know exactly what happened. My feelings about this particular incident are conflicted and confused.
At the time of the initial announcement, I was very, very disturbed. Maria was a very likable individual, and my heart went out to her. I admit that I'm not quite as sure now. I do however believe that Hero absolutely believes in Maria. I think she acted out of a deep sense of caring, and acted in a way that is consistent with the type of person I believe her to be. I think she should reactivate her journal, and move on from this. It's been a rough night for a lot of folks, but I don't think what side of the divide you fall on should dictate who your friends are or aren't. That would be a little too much like grade school. That's pretty much all I have to say.

12/2/06 07:25 am (UTC)I'm just fine--how are you holding up? Also, I know I had your address, but I need it again. I'm suck for organizing correspondence...now, if you need your sock drawer, or your silverware drawer organized, I'm your girl....*g*
