You never fail... you play with my emotions and toy with me, but the happy ending is just waiting around the bend. :) I'm so happy Clark/Cal/Kal made his way back to Lex. They certainly do need each other to be complete. :) Love Lex watching Kal sleep too. So sweet. :)
I'm glad you went with the longer ending, it flows through well. I loved this story and the transitions and personal growth Clark/Kal and Lex went through. Tough way to get a second chance, but worth it.
Ahhhh. So very happy to see they do wind up together, if not quite the way they once might have, long ago. I like Kal being different from Clark in ways that trace back to having been raised by Lex instead of by Jonathan and Martha, just as I like Lex having changed in order to make the memory of 'his' Clark happy. And the 'new' Clark having taken the public name of 'Cal Ellison' gave me a neat little shiver: 'Cal' for 'Kal-El,' and 'Ellison' for 'Lex's son.' Or wasn't that your intent? This is a lovely story, and I'm very glad the bunny bit you. I just hope there are many more biting bunnies to come!

Cal is for Kal, but Ellison, was just for El, the son of El. Boy! I like your version a *HELL* of a lot better!
