I know she ws pulling back some, but I didn't think she planned to disappear. That's very sad, she's just the kind of person fandom (especially SV) needs

Also, I know the climate of the Smallville fandom was really weighing hard on her. I will miss her too. Maybe we can coax her back. If not, I wish her well.

It's been kind of rough lately, true. I missed her already, and now...

I hope so too. I know if I left and deleted my journal, I would have to come back, because this is my main relaxation. Once in awhile I think about cutting back so I don't get too aggravated with the way my fandom is spinning out of control. But all I have to do is realize that its everybody's fandom and each member is entitled to what they want to put into it and what they want to take away from it. "That is my lesson for today, grasshopper."

True that, I think about cutting back, and even tried, not that it was all that successful! Really, this is my fun, my hobby, my home away from home. I hate that a few individuals can make this fandom kind of uncomfortable, especially since this was one of the most welcoming fandoms there was.
It'll be that again some day soon, I'm sure.

:( Awww, that is very sad news indeed. She was one of the very first people to comment on my very first fan fic, and although we didn't chat much, I still always valued her opinion and contributions to the fandom.

I know Smallville has been letting me down a lot lately, and real life does sometimes weigh on us to the point we just can't live in cyber world, but I don't think I would ever just be able to pull the plug. :( Very sad. I hope she and her family are okay.

well, from all I know she has already been pulling back of fandom for a while now, maybe this is just the final stage.
if she has made the decision , that her RL is not compatible with the time she spends on online, then of course, I respect her decision.
I don't feel like its a big deal though.
I write to friends and authors all the time, who are in sv fandom, but simply are not on LJ :)
mail or comments, I really don't differ.

You are a good one at keeping communications going, true. And of course, I'll miss her here, but I respect that she has to do what's right and comfortable for her.

as I don't have to be busy with art and vids and doing creative stuff, i oI course, have more time to blabber with any known clex author and friend in the entire fandom *g*
12.000 comments on LJ, and over 1000 emails in the sendmail box, does require concentration though *g*

with rumpuso/chelly, I had more and more the feeling, she was going to dislike herself for being addicted to this online life, and how she wanted this to be an exscape. and that's sad if that's makes her unhappy, its better to have a cut.

I never differ between RL and online fannish life anymore, for me, both are integral to my entire life, so I don't have a bad conscience spending as much time as I want, whereever I want, no matter here or in the physical one.

but if others constantly feel bad about it, and think, somehow being here is "wrong", then its better to enjoy it from afar :)

I just talked to chelly in IM and she's fine.

She's just not finding that she's getting as much entertainment from LJ as she used to. That's all.
