This week truly ate my ass and spit it out. Doesn't Targhell know I'm an old broad? My knees sound like Rice Krispies. Concrete is impossible to kneel on, and climbing ladders into the sky--not fun. Inventory comes but once a year, thank god. As far as I'm concerned it's right up there with biblical plagues.

If I ever am stupid enough to volunteer for something like this again, smack me. Next week is more of the same, and I'm hoping to get back to normal after that. I know I'm missing a million things here and I'll try to catch up. If I haven't commented on something you know I should be, let me know, my darlings! I hope everyone is well, I miss you!

Oh, if I have any SpN folks looking in, tell me about a real good story I should be reading!

I can relate

Boy oh BOy can I relate what with the kneeling on concrete and looking through boxes for something that you're not even going to need again.....

Anyway I have a few gems of the SpN nature to offer.
This was previously recced by [livejournal.com profile] polyfandomrecs and I'm lifting it from there. Description is not mine.....

Things My Brother Taught Me Series by [livejournal.com profile] deannz (124,331 words total series; NC-17 overall) - Eleven part epic series which starts off intertwined with canon, but veers off into AU territory mid-way. Features a lot of underage Sam/Dean in flashbacks, but the author always warns heavily for it (plus any and all kinks that might be objectionable), so you can avoid that if necessary. This is one of the few stories I've read in which John knows about the boys' sexual relationship, and while he doesn't really accept it, he's learning to. Characterization is strong all around, and several of the minor characters from the show have prominent roles (John, Missouri). Her OC is also extremely well drawn. The storyline is captivating, the sex is hot, all around must read. Here are links to the individual parts:

Things My Brother Taught Me (7,190 words; NC-17)
Wednesday's Child (9,439 words; NC-17)
The Wind Cries Mary (6,815 words; NC-17)
In Vino Veritas (7,126 words; NC-17)
Wake Up Older One, Two (13,302 words; NC-17)
Down to Brass Tacks (4,458 words; NC-17)
Sacrament (6,791 words; NC-17)
Guardian (9,395 words; NC-17)
Flagstaff One, Two (13,059 words; NC-17)
Blood Brother One, Two, Three (17,995 words; NC-17)
Ritual One, Two, Three, Four (28,761 words; NC-17)

All the fics are in her memories.

I've also memoryed some IMHO good SpN fics, feel free to check them out. There's a good Dean/Krycek in there called The Hunter and the Hunted.

Apologies in advance since I tend to memory the chapter I come across rather than the actual start of the fic which always has me hunting for the beginning...O.O....hope you get some good reading here.
