All my Smallville folks--if you haven't read this, read this. For the new folks, I bet it feels kind of like that--and for the old folks, let's not forget how much we love the show, bitching about it or not. We say we don't love them, but we do, no matter what kind of crazeeazz shit they get up to, we'll never ever lose our love for them. Shiny new fandoms roll their hips at us and lick their lips suggestively, but though we may stray a bit, (yes, sorry!) we come back, most of us.

I think...SV's stuck with me forever. Whether I write it or not, I'm in until it's done.

Me too! Although at this point I'm in it out of loyalty to my boys Welling and Rosenbaum. Story-wise, the show lost me a couple seasons ago.

But as long as Tom and Mikey are there, so am I! ;)

I haven't watched 5 and 6 yet, but I will eventually. I've certainly been spoiled to pieces. I'm still living happily in S1-S4. :-D

Oh, Roxy, How I wish I could have done the same. I got out after the finale of S3. *sigh* It just kept going down hill, picking up steam and garbage as it went and I reach a point where it HURT me to watch. So I had to stop. I wish I hadnt had but i never left the Fandom. Its too full of brilliant, beautiful writers with strong voices and great ideas. Thamaris, God rest her soul, was one of the greats and a good example of why I never left.

Left the show - not the fans. Its the way it had to be for me. I luv you though. ^-^

You know, I can understand that completely. I'm happy to know that you feel connected to the folks even if the show hurts, God knows it can really make you feel like you're in an abusive relationship sometimes. But I honestly feel that the fans here are the best--really kind, caring people.

Oh, and hey, I see your journal is now kind to ancient eyes--woo-hoo! Drake and Josh, here I come!*G*
(hey, I'm open to all kinds things, angsty Drake and Josh included.)

Smallville has changed forever how I think about Superman and Lex Luthor. Ages from now, when there are new Superman movies or shows, I'll still believe, deep down in my heart, that Lex and Clark love each other, deep down in theirs.

You know, even when I was a little one, I thought that Lex and Superman would be 'friends' if only Lex would stop trying to hurt him--I felt that both of them weren't really happy with the war between the two of them--but that was long ago, and DC eventually ripped out any fond feelings that might have been lurking there until Smallville was born. See, I was right all along. *g*

Yay! SV is stuck with me (or I'm stuck with it) until the end too. I'm a completionist. ;) And I know myself too well to think I could ever let go without seeing it through all the way. The sheen may feel like it's rubbed off sometimes, but it can shine through again unexpectedly. And thanks for the link--it brightened my day!

It took me 3 and a half seasons to get around to watching... they're not getting rid of me that easily. *grins* Once I get hooked on a show, I don't let go. Even if I don't always agree with the story lines. So I may cringe every time Lana's on the screen, or my mind may be boggled about good/evol Lionel, and I will certainly drool every time Clark and/or Lex are on the screen. But dammit... I just want to see how it ends.

This was wonderful to read. It really captured everything that is wonderful and amazing about Smallville, and totally why I fell in love with it. It's fun! And, it makes you wonder and smile, and smirk and giggle. It's a great thing to have something like that. I'll be with Smallville until the end...and honestly, after that...I'll be with my DVDs and my stories. lol.
I've been a Superman fan since I was a little girl; I've always loved the idea of it. The world, and the characters. TW and MR only reaffirmed that for me with their amazing chemistry. I've honestly never seen actors zap each other the way they do in a scene.

I didn't realize there was much bitching lately. I've never known exactly what people expect from the show since it has never majorly disappointed me But people probably watch for a lot of different reasons, but it says something that it inspires such loyalty

Ah..yes! Dear Thamiris back in the good old days when I thought that my love for this show was going to take over my life, particularly over the holidays that year when I think I was reading fic every spare second I got. To this day, I cannot believe that I was never caught at work, what with all the printing out I did. It seems like worlds ago, since I now actually just watch the show and don't run to the computer after each episode to see what everyone thought...TWOP also owned my soul back then too.

That first season was off the hook!

First season, I never watched it at all--I just read the fic, and read the reviews and lurked all over the place. I read every damn thing I could find, fell madly in love with Lex, and *then* I watched the show. lol! It was an odd way to fall in love with it. *G*

Damn, I miss Tham, too. :(

But I'm with the rest of yas as for sticking with SV to the end, bitter though it may be (because we all know what happens with Superman and Lex Luthor..."the stuff of legend").

Oh, yeah, I roll my eyes or throw shit at the TV screen every week, but I've long since told myself "this show is just an AU." I love watching Tom, Michael, John G, Alison, and Annette work with what they've been given. I could do without Lana, thank you (and no, I do not think Lana is dead -- not till I see a body, dammit! with dental records to back it up!), and Chloe is more Lois of canon than the bimbo they're trying to convince us is Superman's future squeeze...but I love Clark (big dumb gay alien that he is) and Lex (sexy bald sociopath bent on world domination that he is), and I still see the Clex because there's always that thin line between love and hate. That's why I'll keep watching.

And wherever she is, I bet Tham is watching, too. :)
